  • At warped tour, they made a last minute change in the schedule. my friends dragged me to see angels and airwaves and against me came out instead and played this song really fast paced. THANK GOD!

  • great song

  • seen them play at the cowboys ranch london ontario canada in september

  • grrrreeeeeaaat

  • As much as I didn't care for New Wave, I still love these guys and desperately want to see them live. Providing they don't play "Stop!".

  • I love them.

  • aww i love them soo much

    xoxo

p.s i met them at the warped tour 2008 MTL =D

  • lucky bitch

  • at 1:04 the guitarist needs to learn to say it not spray it

  • haha.. funny... not...

that's the bassist by the way...

  • he's trying to wash the shores away

  • This song totally rocks! I love it!

  • jamesons irish whiskey right there :)

  • Good song, stop fighting you fucking losers.

  • "New Wave" is fucking amazing , 10 songs of pure punk rage

  • This songs awesome.

  • what sucks is that the message of this song seems to be waiting for the next big youth movement, the next revolution to arrive, when one hasn't come in almost 20 years, so they're asking if anyone has any new ideas, if anyone wants to change anything. I hope that the "New Wave" does come soon!

And Against Me is really starting to remind me of the Replacements with the new record.

  • Me too but sans alcoholic/drug/pagan sex. Country needs serious solutions. Not those drugged out/sexed out/spaced out hippie radical ones.

  • agreed. The next revolution wont be a hippie cause we found out that one totally sucked ass

  • I am the new wave.

  • yet you're using abreviations like you would when you play world of warcraft, nice good job guy, you made your point (y)

  • you cant say that someones taste of music is trash, its fucking music...you dont see us saying that your genre of music is horrible, and do you know why? because we have respect in your taste and understand that its what you like. music is a required taste of interest, dont say someone's music is bad, your not the person. I for one dont like metal... but I respect they genre. have some decency to respect the music or not comment at all.

  • What are you, new? This is the internet, and my subjective taste is clearly superior to yours

  • this isn't a wow forum, so gtfo.

  • dude shut the fuck up, you dont know shit about good music, probaly listen to fall out boy and call that music gold, just cause it isnt what your used to seeing on mtv all the time doesnt mean it sucks dumbass

  • You're a fucking idiot for making assumptions. I haven't watched MTV in like 10 years and even then practically everything on it was garbage. I listen to technical metal.

  • so then your still a bitch...

  • no u

  • what an intricate response...

    anyways, i agree with thesponge8.

  • oooh, technical metal...is that where they solve math equations while playing pointless scales and singing about EPIC tales of dragons and fairy kings in atlantis

  • No it's where the guitarist plays more than one note per bar, which explains why you don't know what it is

  • yes, because counting notes is more important than writing good tunes. count, count, count all day long, that's not what music is about.

  • Holy crap, some of the clips were from the last Fall Ball! I was there. :P

  • even at their worst...they're still the best

    (anyone who gets that.....A+)

  • I love Against Me! They effing rock in concert!! You should also check out their Kyte Channel which they have on their official myspace. It shows their own EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. Totally worth checking out!

  • i don't even see how it's selfish to go to a bigger label. because not only do they make more money- but people have more access to them, so it works for both ends.

people who think they are sell outs are morons who care more about the bands image of being undiscovered than their music, and should probably just get punched in the balls.

i don't see why people just can't be happy for them for being successful. shut the fuck up, they would have to be idiots not to, so more power to them.

  • So true.. (Except for the punch in the balls part.. No one deserves that..)

But you're right about the other stuff. It's like how people always want you to know how long they were into a band before they got popular. I think people are like that because they want to feel like the band is there own maybe.. Like they discovered a great little secret and now it's out of the bag. Odd, but strangely very common.

  • Yeah I agree, I get so pissed when people call them sell outs. It's like damn they make actual music unlike half the bullshit factory produced bands.

  • who cares if they're sell outs anyone would do it would you rather be playing 2 dollar gigs or make millions it seems selfish but if ur put in that position you'd take it deny it all you want but you'd take the money

  • phoebia don't be so angry cause your penis is so small. It is ok no one is going to see it anyways

  • Dude you really play the bass like shit, did you have a broom up your ass when you were doing that cover... come on move and show some rythm. Oh I understand why you talk shit about other bands cause you got no talent

  • threr probly better than any other band u would ever be in

  • I when to the concert in AZ It Waz AWsome but The Drummer had Oen Of the smallest drum sets ive ever seen but good

  • i didnt know matisyahu played the drums

  • WIN

  • yo, chill guys. AM! is for everybody. Its about everyone in the venue, small or big, being connected by this sound, this movement in a bleak time for modern music. I was fortunate enough to see AM! two and a half years ago in a tiny venue packed past capacity. It didn't matter that some idiots might have been pushing their way to the front or that there was some other kid yelling at them for it. The energy and connection in the room was too strong to be broken.

  • In my opinion the most underrated band

  • They're opening for the Foo Fighters at the Toyota Center. "That would travel one million miles and ask for nothing but a plate of food and a place to rest" Yeah right.

  • do you expect them to turn down the money that people are willing to give them? i mean come on. So if you were them and you had a choice to play at a bar of 50-200 people or play a place with thousands and get your message and your music out to many more fans you wouldnt?

  • You're asking if I'd sell off all my morals, and everything I've worked to achieve, in order to play generic tunes for college kids with no appreciation for what I once was? They don't have a message anymore, they just write boring songs to appeal to those thousands, instead of meaning something to those 50-200 in the bar. Virtue and integrity are not things to be purchased.

  • sell off all your morals? wtf are you talking about. They tried something new. Do you personally know what they are going to put out next? no you dont. They may go back to the old ways. They may not intill then we shall see what becomes of them. Either way i am staying with them. Even if they changed there still a good band.

  • They refuse to play the old venues, refuse to play the old songs, they generally only play arenas now... face it, this isn't some fun concept album, they've reinvented themselves, and called anyone who used to follow them fanatically shallow for being turned off by the new stuff.

  • see how you said generally. That there is your problem. THEY STILL PLAY some small areas. But with the tour schedule they have now they cant stop off in little places. But again you don't know how there going to go in the future. I also haven't read a single thing were they called there fans shallow. Plus a true fan of a band likes anything there band puts out. SO if you dont like there new stuff then your not a fan of them.

  • sorry i forgot to add also. If you think they sold out then stop listing to them. They evolved that happens to bands as they get more popular. But they didn't sell out. Yes they change but not as other bands have. So just becuase there playing bigger venues doesn't mean they changed. SO stop saying they sold out. Either your a fan or not.

  • If you'd have seen the shows I'd gone to with them playing, you'd understand. At the Meridian, we all climbed up the rafters and dove into the crowd, and there were two separate pits in full swing. Kids were walking around bloody, bruised, and happy. If you try and dance at the Toyota Center, you get kicked out. I doubt you've ever seen 'em live, maybe you'd understand if you did. Music is more than just collecting the popular CDs.

  • no i haven't gotten the chance to see them live. The last two times they were in town i couldn't make it or didn't know about it till it was too late. But i have went and seen other bands like them in places like you mentioned. Persoanlyl i hate assholes like you who feel it is cool to crowd surf and dive into the crowd. You can dance(have pits) and sing but shit like that gets on my nerves and i actually punch people when they do it. There is a reason you get kicked out for shit like that.

  • You fucking cunt. Kids like you ruin shows. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at the Against Me! show was diving into the crowd, and starting pits. If you punch kids who are trying to have fun, then I completely understand what kind of person you are now. You don't deserve to listen to this band, you're just a trendy fuck who hangs out in back of the club and makes fun of anyone trying to enjoy themselves. Oh, wait, you've never seen them live.

  • Oh, and you DON'T get kicked out for shit like that, because venues that AM! played were made with that attitude. If you ever went to a show you'd understand that. However, kids will get kicked out of the arenas that this band plays now. So, go buy New Wave and brag about how cool you are because you're the only one who really 'gets' the new stuff. The rest of us are going to go to shows and enjoy the next great thing you'll only hear about once they suck.

  • dude i do go into the pits and listen to them but i hate fuckers who stage dive and jump into the crowds and people who crowd surf. Its stupid to do that shit. In a pit you can somewhat protect your self but with fuckers like you jumping off and kicking me in the head(yes this happend to me) and it fucked me up getting kicked in the head and that isnt not cool. Notice i said the last two times they came. Ive seen then before and have been listeing to them since freshman year of highschool

  • so i know what they use to be like and trust me i like it more but i am not gonna disown them like you and many other people have when they brought out there new aublum. I am not the only one who is this way. My brother(who i found AM!) through is the same way. Were both up front by the stage in the pits like everyone else but hate people diving into the crowds. ITs stupid to do that. I am not a trendy fuck. I am one of the people who listen to bands 3-4 years before tehy ever hit it big.

  • "no i haven't gotten the chance to see them live." That's what you said, so don't change your story now. Anyways, I've got nothing else to say to you. Go listen to your imaginary bands who, in 3-4 years, will be huge.

  • sorry i put them notice i didn't say strictly AM! i meant all the bands who play music and have audiences like AM! has. Sorry i didn't clearly state that it was any band. I figured you would know that pits form at other concerts to not just AM! concerts.

  • i feel some tension!

  • one of the best bands ever.

they have definetly grown & gone in a new direction in soo many ways over the years.

  • Man, ive followed and watched these guys grow the past 5 years & although I like their old stuff better.

    I'm proud of them.

Hands down, the best band everrrr.

  • man

i was stoked for this cd

but i was disappointed, i need the old againt me!

    still good though

  • Even though they completely went in a different direction and went against everything they stood for i still like them for some odd reason.

  • yup. because you know everything they stood for. or was it just what you stood for that you saw in their songs? quit being a dumb fuck and enjoy the music.

  • Seriously. I mean, enjoy this new album filled with folk/punk classics for the massess...Wait, what's that? They play general rock now?

Oh, well then fuck that. I'll stick to everything Pre-Sire era.

  • lol o allright. i guess you will just listen to everything pre-sire era and keep watching the videos for their new album? lol

  • two words: sell outs! stop being a dumb fuck and face reality. and their new music sucks.

  • Dude i outa come over there and slap the silly out of you. You think they are sell outs because they signed to major label? They are maturing as a band, and they have put out one of the best records of 2007.

  • wow people are so shallow, they stopped being anarchists which btw do absolutly nothing, and make music which IMO is better but thier old stuff is good to. GROW A SET!!

  • people change their views on stuff ok,i just recently stopped watching fox news and realized that bush is an idiot,so i think that its more likely that they just changed their views ,i don't think they stopped being anarchists just for money

  • you finally see the light, fox news is a whole bunch of /-\Ss Holes, i cant believe there still on, bush is an idot also =p

  • From what I can tell, Tom Gabel is still an anarchist. Basicly he wanted to evolve as a musician however. We all know punks are very limiting in what they accept from their favorite bands, what they want (I am one of them) is Reinventing Axl Rose released in 100 different versions. But basicly you can only write songs about a certain subject X amount of times before you become a cliche of yourself.

  • one of the best bands in the world <3

i could never get sick of them.

  • best song

  • great video

  • iiiiiii miss baby i'm an anarchist.

  • I miss when they were anarchists, before they urged people to vote in 2004.

  • great as always.

  • james can grow a beard!

    impressive.

there's no going wrong when you start with Warren.

  • kool

  • great video! I love Against Me!
