Yes, I know they used his spider chord, but Dave is a 'co-writer' (is that the correct word? If not, sorry for my english D;) of 2 of songs from ride the lightning, which are 'ride the lightning' and 'the call of ktulu'. He (co-wrote) those songs while he was still in the band.

Kirk helped writing 'fade to black', 'trapped under ice', 'escape' and 'creeping death' in that album.

@Pelleman666 Yes it's true, but it's also his sound...back in the Black album, Justice and Load era, he had such a big and weighty sound live so that a 4 years old who never touched a drum could sound cool. Now he's playing with a more natural sound so it makes a pretty big difference.
