    Lew...

Pray tell..did all of that fire wood come from that dead tree that had recently cut down...or did you yourself cut it by hand? (I KNOW a luddite would NEVER be seen using an electrical aparatus.)

Anyway, this slice of Americana was impeccably rendered in a straightforward manner...as it ought to be.

Do you ever perform any Canadian folk songs?

    Pax,

    Max

  • Because I came to folk music via British Skiffle in the 1950s my introduction was to American folk music. Canadian folk music had never really come to my attention.

Before skiffle, I, like all other teenagers at the time, was into Rock and Roll. (Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Gene Vincent, The Everly Brothers, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, etc.)

Then, of course, the folk revival in the USA came along (late 50s, early 60s)... a natural stepping stone from skiffle.

  • AMAZING as usual.. :)

    Easy 5 stars

  • Thanks Jay...

  • A little Gene Autry Yodelling! Excellent.
