  • OMG were you on the ellen show one time?! :o

  • U sexy as hell, girly! : *

  • I learn so much from ur videos. I'm a new hooper and I'm still learning. I was hoping u could maybe make a video on how to bring the hoop up and down ur body repeatedly with just one hand. I see videos of it and it looks fun and is fun to see. Well hope it's not too hard to do. Thanks for ur time.

    Love and peace.

  • How do you get the timing for when you're supposed to come up? I can't even practice this in a mirror because if I look up it will whack me in the back of the head.

  • I love these tutorials :D They're so good, and Safire is such a role model for me. These tutorials just teach me something new every time :) I just can't believe she's from Edmonton...

  • Mehehhee! Just did this tutorial today and the one with the jump through! (yes... am finally getting round to hoops my lady) and you are one great teacher. Sending you lots of love and light. xoxoxoxo

  • @MezzeFlame Yaaaaaa! Rock it! We'll have to hoop it up for Chinese New Year. ; )

  • where can i get a thin hoop like yours?

  • thanks!!

  • i didn't know how to contact you to request a video on something so i thought i would just comment on one of your viedos. I can do all the basic like bring it up and down, around the knees, the shimmy, around the shoulers etc. The thing i noticed hoopers do at festivals that i want to learn is hopping behind my back. Do you think you could make a video teaching that? Thankyouthankyou

  • Thanks...your explanations are really clear. I have learned a bunch of tricks already by watching your videos. Thanks for breaking it down for other hoopers! :) - Danielle

  • can you help me understand how you are gripping/releasing in on the duck in cause i can't seem to get it consistantly

  • love the videos, just started to learn to hoop and they really help. but i can't nail the duck in, i can only do it every once and a while...can you help better understand the grip/release during the transfer from your hand to actually hooping? i think that is what the problem is and i see in the video when you do it slow you help through it around with the other hand but when you do it quickly you don't use the other hand....

  • Oh My godness ! You talk whit a such elegance and great ASPIRATEUR ! I can watch you all days :D ...

Without useless words - You are a big shining star for me

  • i love you <3 ;* :)

  • cool, but i cant even get one to go around my waist..

  • safire!!

    large?

    i love your videos <3

  • I use all kinds of sizes but the average tends to be 40 inches. ; )

  • @FireSandra You're a Doll ;)

  • @FireSandra Whats your nationality?

  • Hey SaFire, you ROCK! This is Toni, AKA ThunderShyne, the deaf-blind hooper. I joined and have a couple of videos up and plan to do more hoopimg videos. I'll never be as good as you, but I'm addicted!!!

  • I want a hoola hoop!

  • Those playlists are a great idea! It gives me a better idea of what to learn first.

One point on the vids: the music is always way louder then your talking, wich is rather annoying.

  • So it's been a couple weeks since your last one... I request a new one: show that one where it hooks on the tip of your shoulder. It wows me EVERY time!! :D

  • Yes, my apologies for the lateness of another tutorial. It's been a busy few weeks.

I've gotten scarlet fever, chipped my two front teeth of a guy's head in a mosh pit, won $10,000, launched a new site, bought my very first car and did my biggest motivational talk as of yet. 300 students!

I think the vertical step through is next on the list, but I'll make note of the shoulder one.

    Much love,

  • Right On Scott! I would LOVE a guide to the shoulder trick too. (Either that or some velcro so I can reattach my ear! YOW!)

  • i can`t stop watching ur hooping vids! u are beautiful!

  • Thanks for this instructional video!

This is a great trick and I can't wait to master it!

I love that you can have so much fun with it.

  • Inside the hoop:

I cant stop thinking about hula hooping. Its really all I want to do. I sit but I can feel the hoop spinning around my chest and shoulders, and I have all these images in my head of things I want to do, or can do, and I can feel them happening.

It's really amazing, its like anything outside of that circle...doesnt exist anymore. Everything that matters in the world is inside the hoop. I smile when Im inside, I play like nobody's watching. Its like being a little girl again.

  • I do believe you have caught the hoop bug.

Welcome my friend, welcome. ; )

  • I hope you don't mind me asking.

What types of hoops do you use?

And what do you think the best would be for moi

    x

  • I make my own hoops out of plumbing piping.

If you make one just be sure to make it large (up to your chest) this will make it easier for you.

  • Thank you!!

I've been sick this week so this was an old video I kept on stock just in case. I was extra motivated one week and I'm glad I kept it as a spare. ; )
