how many clients have you played with?I have onrez, restraint life, normal, RC, SLeek, and a few others.that new client that coming out,SLim i think when will that be released? one more thing what happened to SL graphics? when i started about 2 years ago i used to get 40 to 50+ FPS and now its way down to 10 to 15. the very first windlight project was so great but the new one is more harsh on the pc then this version.just wondering what you did different from the first windlight to this verison.

Some new code in particular Lightsmark have made shadows and dynamic lighting much easier. It's all about using those lightly used texture pixel shaders that seem to multiply like rabbits in newer video cards. Right now, a lot of the work is constrained by OpenGL to sharing the work between the GPU and CPU, so some machines *scream* like hot rods and others with similar specs scream like tortured metal. Not to worry, a new flavor of OpenGL is coming along that will help.

what is the scale of those "peas" in the beginning of the vid? they seem to be too close to each other for that to be the Havok4 we have avaiable in SL if they're near the size I'm picturing them to be (or perhaps cause they're spheres it is different, I can't remember if the huge gap is also present in sphere-sphere collisions)

They're pretty small. You can see them on Here yourself, and the gap isn't present in perfect spheres... see the Havok 4 info and test yourself :)

I have been playing with a resident compiled shadow viewer. Its pretty fun ^_^ But the compiler prolly did a bad job as it crashes like every 30 minutes. Keep up the great work guys. Shadows are just what SL needs to make it that much prettier.
