  • for the people who haven't seen "tip drill" by Nelly....u HAVE to see it!

  • Credit card swipe was hilarious lol

  • yooo that woman is fine !! kim <3

  • White Chocolate! White Chocolate! says TIP

  • I love the credit card part

  • DR MICHAEL ERIC DYSON...a name i wont forget...

  • omg black people put the imaginary chains on themselves so that they can call themselves "gangsters"

  • When they say Hip Hop, I get confused. Rap. You should say Rap. Where are the DJs, The Break-Dancers, The Graffiti Artists and the Beat-Boxers on this show for them to be blamed for it too?! If that doesn't make sense they should say Rap, not blame the whole Culture for what Rappers are Rapping about.

  • "White Chocolate White Chocolate"

  • Nelly is right about tip drill though. everybody made good points.

  • Damn that reporter is HOT

  • haha negga real talk !! real Talk ;)

  • Comment removed

  • dyson's part was so epic i had to rewatch it

  • GANGSTER CULTURE CAME FROM ITALIANS! COSA NOSTRA! A.K.A OUR THING!

  • PROFILED FOR EXTERMINATION

We have street style public behavior that wants to be seen as vulgar, ignorant, rude, boisterous, confrontational and crazy. We have an epidemic of that in the streets in our young men & girls. You don't have to be killed physically to be exterminated. If we can't knock on the door of intelligence and get an intelligent human responce , you have been exterminated. We should not accept group collective nehavior that profiles us for bad treatment and social rejection

  • hip hop!!!!

  • and that credit card swipe has been a gag in british comedy for YEARS jim davidson is one

  • 7:24 wat was that

  • Westside Detriot! Big Sean :)

  • T.i. look shocked wen he saw him sai big poppa verse lool " hell nah " dyson's a pimp ;) credit card swipe hahahahahhahahaha! all of dem gettin hyped lool...

  • HOW did tip drill define Nelly's career??? He had soooooooo many hits before tip drill, and that is far from his best song.

  • @SgtSaveaHoe: There are much better Nelly songs out there. But because thats the song that has got (and still does) the most negative publicity out of all his songs and somehow overshadows everthing he does. I think thats what is meant by "career defining".

  • I'M A P.I.M.P. - A PUBLIC INTELECTUAL WITH MORAL PRINCIPALS... That said it all... Big up mister Dyson!

  • DYSON'S A FKIN OG!!

  • what was you doing up at 3 in the morning watching uncut videos ................nelly killed him with that lmao

  • Haha ya watched the whole video then got appauled at the end

  • I really liked this segment...but Im not even gon lie I really didnt understand some of what Dyson even said lol I wish he would just use regular words to get the point across but anyway I agree with some points on dyson side and t.i./nelly, all this is just opinion, everyone has a different one, THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER...and side note; a lot of people stay talking about some artists music is never about anything but money, sex etc. YOU MUST LISTEN TO IT THEN, secret fans.

  • a public intellectual with moral principles is there a way where i can just watch the discussion rather than the preess conferences and shit?

  • I think dyson could've been a rapper

  • Nelly killed dem

  • what does this mean @ 1 :15-1:20

    This guys a geniu!!

  • yes it was the young lady's idea of the card swipe, but Nelly being a grown man shouldve of thought about what the outcome of this was going to be. nelly being a grown man shouldve have thought to himself wait a minute this is more degrading than the whole video itself. so its put upon on both parts, but even so the average white man couldve done the same damn thing but it would just been shrugged and called just having fun.

  • This song go hard check out Crack City DVD channel

  • Public Intellectual with Moral Principles= P.I.M.P

  • Comment removed

  • DysoN was dropping some MAD knowledge.....and NellY was MAD Hilarious.

  • YO P.I.M.P i like the change of words

  • DYSON is good, however, he's thinking WAY WAY WAY WAY to deep into Hip Hop. He has his opinions, and I totally disagree with most of them, and more with Nelly. When I look at these videos (if I look at them), I don't look that deep into it. I already know it's TV, and it sales. Fact is, if you like McDonald's fries, you eat at McDonalds. There are x amount of porn channels on my tv, I don't call Comcast telling them to remove them, I simply don't watch them. It's not that hard or serious

  • YEAH! DR SPIT YOUR SHIT!! truth in what he says...for a second i thought he was going to say rappers don't have a responsibility...whew, finally he says the truth

  • @bwidger "RAPPERS" only responsibility is to rap. That's it, that's all. Teachers have a totally different responsibility. A PARENT has the most important responsibility. RAP is entertainment. It holds the same weight as a video game, a movie, amusement park, and so forth. "ENTERTAINMENT." If any of those things are teaching your kids, then something's wrong.

  • @CALICOTV301 just because it's entertainment doesn't mean the person making the music shouldn't also hold some responsibility for the negative message it gives. they should hold much responsibility for the message the deliver. like any other business in the world, the should hold accountable for unhealthy products they produce. i'm not saying they should ban it, but in this case, hip hop needs a different role model so unexperienced kids can make that decision if need be.

  • @bwidger Really? So clearly Elmer Fudd should no longer shoot guns, boxing shouldn't be allowed, wrestling, hockey should no longer have fighting and more based on your philosophy. There are 4000 channels on cable, and hundreds of genres of music. Hip Hop is not speaking from the top of the earth and hypnotizing people. If you listened, you were compelled for a reason. It's like me listening to Rock, and telling them to reformat it. Then it wouldn't be the Rock I was compelled to.

  • @bwidger At the end of the day, you are "accountable" for your own actions. If you turn to Elmer Fudd and he and Porky Pigg shoots guns, you knew what you were getting into. The rappers lays it out "IM TELLIN MY STORY, MY LIFE."Should they tell you one of the world made of chocolate and sugarcane? Unless the rapper tell you, to your face, with your name, he/she is not accountable for your recklessness. There is one brain for every two hands. His doesn't control the two you have.

  • @bwidger Now. If I sell you a product that is supposed to make you youthful, and it doesn't, that's one thing. Now, you have a case and an understood point with "PRODUCTS." They actually promised you something. Rappers, promised rhymes, and entertainment, and even with that, there are no guidelines to Hip Hop. When I grew up and listened to rap, although I listened to NWA and killing, I also listened to my parents. If rappers have become a putative parent, then social services need to intervene

  • @CALICOTV301 to your defense, you can categorize music in the same field as violent movies; however, there is no denying that gangster rap promotes violence. rap talk about killing people all the time. that is promoting a lifestyle, and the reason music is more dangerous than movies because movies don't may show violence but they typically don't actively promote it, but if movies did promote violence of that caliber then they too would be under scrutiny. and their main audience is kids

  • @bwidger rappers always try to hide that issue by saying "i only talk about what happens in the streets"...when in reality they are not only talking about it but promoting it as a cool thing to go kill people. that's horrible...that is gangster rap is under harsh scrutiny, and for an emcee to say he is only talking about what happens is wrong because he is also knowingly promoting it is a cool thing to do...horrible. and the main audience is kids who pick up their message

  • @bwidger Simple. Try this. "Hey, my name is Gabe, I make great grades, the world is perfect, and I ride pink unicorns!" I mean really? Would you buy this? The purpose of "ENTERTAINMENT" is to ENTERTAIN. In today's movie, juggling is less entertaining than blowing someone's head off. Not because you enjoy blowing people's heads off, but you like the entertainment. If you saw it on the streetm you'd say GROSS! But, because you know that it's fiction stretched, you enjoy it. Simple

  • @bwidger I would say gangster rap "promotes" violence. It depicts violence. A movie doesn't promote...promote means to further. If I hear a song, I don't want to kill. MUSIC is more dangerous than a SCREAM 4? Really? 2 hours of slashing is less dangerous than 3 minutes of variation? The idea of a horror is to kill. Music changes throughout the verse. It's not "KILL KILL KILL." Are you really simply singling out Hip Hop or do you have a cogent reason? In addition, why are "KIDS" listening?

  • @bwidger Out of 3000 channels. 1 is Hip Hop. Out of 1000s of genres of music, 1 is Hip Hop. Out of 100s of radio stations a few are Hip Hop. You act as if Hip Hop is flooding the airwaves. Now, how is Hip Hop compelling these kids? Why are they gravitating toward it? If you watch a movie, listen to music, or are influenced by any of this stuff, you should be put in an asylum today. Again, there's Gospel music on. Even church is televised these days. People can clearly watch it.

  • @bwidger Rappers don't PROMOTE the lifestyle. Most say, "this is where I came from." They relay the news. At the end...they ALL walk out of the booth and go back to reality. Music is for mature audiences. The sticker says "EXPLICIT ADVISORY." I can't believe you even compared a 3 minute song with various words to a SAW V full length movie that sells more than any Hip Hop record. Then, every sequel is about slashing and have no real MORAL to the story. You kidding? Please tell me you are.

  • 0:39 Detroit man starts with a little spark and then he's on fire!!! ON FIRE!! I LOVE HIM! HOLLA FROM THE D!

  • Nelly ought to know he was dead wrong for the credit card swipe...i dont give a fuck whose idea it was...

  • @superman19742007 Don't take too seriously and if anything, it belongs in the bedroom.

  • @YoungDaVinci91 I'll decide how to take it, and i do not need instruction from a random screen n ame on youtube, thank you.

  • @superman19742007 he was not dead wrong. Its entertainment. Shit like that goes on in the strip club and bachelor parties. PORNO as well. It was not wrong. Sit down lol

  • @mistanderson Thats bullshit....he disrespected women in that clip, and wasnt man enough to own up to it. Sit that ignorant "we can do what ever we want and better not be criticized for it" house nigga mess down...LOL

  • @superman19742007 How he disrespected her when she the one who came up WITH the IDEA OF IT. he slide a credit card between her ass. Meanwhile, he and the other dudes tossing money and slapping women asses. Then u got other women slapping asses and all. U sound real UGH.

  • Because I'm a CULTURE CRITIC, THAT'S MY JOB!

  • the other race is jus lookin at niggaz like this is perfect. we create capitalism, make it to where a % have to live in absolute hell, the few that DO come out, as rappers etc, we put them in a place where to ensure their income and make a living they have to be the front men of shit like this, while rich execs call the shots and make wat is, wat is

  • nelly kinda killed em with the credit card swipe argument!! ha!!

  • NELLY IT IS THAT DEEP! Black people don't even realize it! The psychological chains on us are way too real! Slavery is still alive! Take the chains off!

  • It aint that deep man...haha...T.I. is too much!

  • Who created drugs? white

Who created problems in society? racism...conclusion, white

It is white who causes problems and blames blacks for creating rap and hip hop and the violent influences...

  • I felt that T.I. & Nelly did a great job but I do with they would have had KRS-One, Immortal Technique, Andre 3000, Common, Rakim, Dr Dyson, Russell Simmons & Rev Run. I repeat, T.I. & Nelly did great but I would have wished to hear from the people I mention in regards to this subject. I do wish that they would have replaced Nelly with Snoop or Jadakiss though. Nelly did great but they were attacking him more than debating with him & I felt that it didn't get anywhere.

  • Dyson is from west side of the D... he the only real nigga on that stage hahaha

  • @MrTheDodster I'm glad he is too.

  • nelly FUCKIN G lmao he the only one that made any seance

  • ppl always remenber the wack hip pop radio shit and forget the good quality old schoo hip hop. We see retards like wayne gucci waka soulja boy drake all over tv and mc's like talib nas doom these are the ones who should be on tv but sadly thats not the case. Btw FUCK BET this network doesnt support real hip hop, it used too but not anymore. They only care about money and thats all that matters to them, feeding lil brainless kids.

  • T.I.'s one rude motha fucka

  • dr.dyson is an absolute legend loool

  • BECAUSE I'M A CULTURAL CRITIC. THAT'S MY JOB! Dr. Dyson should become Vice President! WORD UP!

  • nelly can dish it but he can't take it. own up to your mistakes. sure he had hits but those hits were all sex money and nothin more. if he matures as a artist and focuses on his life in the hood, violence, politics, it would show how he "inspired" a generation rather than "degrade" it.

  • For a hot new artist sound on youtube

Gravee D "Let 'em Loose" track is hot you will see more from him!! rap hp hop sound!

  • west side detroit!!!!!!

  • DYSON'S A FKIN G!!

  • @avreeves, hell yea....he a O.G.

  • hey brothers and sisters, all what you do is wrong, you should think about after dying, all of us will be judged by what we have done in our life, porno and bad words aren't good things, a lot of people will laugh about what I write here, and just few wise people who god will help him to feel my words, just one moment of your like, think about what's written here

  • When she says Tip Drill defines Nelly's career, Nellys all like WHAT THE FUCK!!!

  • @suburbannegro411 hahaha

  • this pure white hatin propaganda, bet is raping peoples minds, I feel bad that these people are saying some stupid ignorant things to "stir things up" between different races, a lot of these dudes have mad a whole career out of blaming caucasians fo everthing, the point is we all need to stop blaming everybody else for our own actions, we all need peace wit each other

  • "I'm droppin MAD SCIENCE, I'm a P.I.M.P.- Public Intellectual with Moral Principles" -Dr. Dyson

  • dyson over obama

  • Damn, kim osorio looks fine here! :)

  • what's the Biggie song dysons quoting ? hahahahaha , loved t.i's reaction !!

  • @ProPeace2014 "Mo' Money, Mo' Problems"

  • @ThreatVision

    thanks man :D

  • @ProPeace2014 Mo Money Mo Problems

  • i dunno what the fuck dr. dyson is saying but it sounds good...

  • HEYYY IM FROM DETROIT! LOL

  • Big props to Dr. Dyson but i gotta say that i agree with t.i when he says "It ain't that deep man, we just having fun" I don't think that these kind of music videos are that deep. It's not that i like this kind of rap (i prefer old school, i dont like rappers like lil'wayne. Actually i don't even like Nellys og t.i's music) because i don't. But i think that people take it too serious, it is what it is. I dont think of all women being bitches just because of some music videos. my oppinion, peace.

  • Why is it the "rappers" have to explain what was decided by other people? As much as those "commentators" read and know about the issue -why don't they acknowledge that "rap" when it first began, was not about violence and gangs? why don't they admit that rap was about "living conditions" and "getting the party started?

  • Mr. Dyson HAS GOT TO BE THE PRESIDENT!!

  • Cringing @ the Dyson guy in the beginning....like wow, was like watching your dad trying to spit bars...

  • Lol CREDIT CARD! GET UR CREDIT CARD HEAR!

  • nelly has a point at 4:47 ....!!!

  • and the funny thing all about this the white man don't really care if the black folks killing each other or not all they wont is there money.....n thats the truth....

  • DYME!!!!! Michael Dyson's son is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeee!!!!

  • ti and nelly is just selfish and ignorant theyre bullshit is not gonna lift up nobody...

  • @sensationsuperthrust I don't think the U.S can blame T.I for selling gangsta records, when one of their courts made sure he had the permission to sell that kind of music.

It's not him rapping about it, He's a puppet and his record label is the master puppeteer.

  • i love t.i and Nelly in this man. They're right. Loooove the comment about the credit card swipe, and that dr. dyson was seeing a uncut video :) maaaaan love how t.i and nelly protects hip-hop because hip-hop has to be saved as it is. if not, its no hip-hop.

  • @FodbolddrengenPedro let me guess your another ignorant lil wayne fan?

  • Comment removed

  • lmao nelly is soo hilarious but wait what was she doing watching uncu videos at night anyways lmao

  • @2PaulMokur We're just having fun!!! HELL YEAH!!! HEAR HEAR!! LONG LIVE THE KING!

  • let nelly talk

  • Im droppin madd science!

  • Nelly fucked them all up with that credit card swipe comment. For real if you were able to see the credit card swipe, then you sat though the whole video. That is baller as fuck Nelly fucked all the haters up with that comment.

  • they shoulda had professor griff

  • ....he talkin bout slavey...how many black women can you pic out of a hip hop video..............half of the time u cant find and and if you to shes soooo far away or u gotta squint your eye to make sure she's even black

  • @HotCandi sooo true

  • @HotCandi

Shut up, i thought hip hop videos disrespected black women. You women need to make up your mind. Are black women in hip hop videos or not? Damn!

  • TI is enjoying this shit xD

  • Dr. Dyson should write a book about all this... and then Nas should turn it into an album.

  • @simplebowman That is the best comment I have read this week and will last a lifetime. You are certainly right.

  • Whoa Nelly.....calm your nerves!

  • Nelly you dont want to fuck with Dr Dyson, not only is he on your side, but he'd fucking rip you a new one with his words, and shit maybe physically too - he is a stocky lookin brother.

  • dam P.I.M.P. = Public Intellectual with Moral Principles

  • If I was an MC i would bite Eric Dyson's lyrics....

  • y nelly talkin too much....havnt heard his record since the towers went r.i.p

  • My goodnes Eric Dyson

  • TIP DRILL WAS NOT A MISTAKE!

  • I know im a get some disagrees but i think the main reason why black people are in the way that they are today is because they left the church home. If you notice in the 70s and on back, Black people was in church alot. Then you got 1980s to now. The black comunity was slowly parting from God and i feel that is the main reason why blacks are doing so bad right now. Same goes for America. You take out god and look what happens. Our economy falls and soon we will hit rock bottom. Let us all pray.

  • @xjksxklsidosgkjw

I disagree, and such a statement is in fact offensive. Christianity was actually forced on slaves but their massa, and according to the massa, blacks were natural salvages and required Christianity in order to tame their wild nature. The problem is not religion, it is the social and economic level of a community that is the major factor.

The poorer an individual is, the more likely they are to be violent. Religion has no correlation in regards to blacks in America.

  • @xjksxklsidosgkjw

In fact, the poorer you are, the more likely you are to be both religious and violent. The richer you are, the less likely you are to be religious and violent. Poor people tend to be the most religious, and rich people tend to be the less religious. Poor people tend to be the more violent, while rich people tend to be less violent. If religion has a correlation with violence, then it would be the more religious you are, the more likely you are to be violent.

  • @xjksxklsidosgkjw

I believe that you should enroll in a sociology class. In fact, Mr. Dyson is a sociologist. I think sociology should be placed in all high schools. The lack of sociology in our schools perhaps explain why our children can not think past anything other than religious dogma. The idea that being poor is God's will rather than being a flaw in a human created society.

  • BrownSouth:If i tryed your way and enrolled in a sociology class, then you should try my way wich is Jesus Christ. But you do make a few good points about what you said and i don't mean to offend you but as a follower of Jesus Christ i have to tell people the truth because of the love i have for you all even if you spit in my face. Jesus died for all. Even for those that don't want anything to do with him. Jesus died so you could live for ever. Just give him a true chance and he will show up.

  • @xjksxklsidosgkjw if jesus was gods son, why did the nigga need to die to prove sutn to me... and why did he need to die in a time and place where there would be no overwhelming proof left for me to see?? come orff the christian shit... i agree with the poor and religious thing.... also tip drill was a dmangood video!!

  • That tip drill discussion still gets me.

  • oh my god, so . sure an 18 year old girl straight out of high school watching tip drill might not immedietly get the whole slavery-connection thing, but Mr.Dyson was pointing out that feeling worthless as a human being, like a piece of flesh, is what is engrained in this 18 year old girls mind. It is an effect EVEN IF YOU DONT REALIZE ITS HAPPENING.

  • LOL T.I's face at "B-I-G P-O P-P-A , no info for the D.E.A", Dr. Dyson just hit the nail on the head

  • and sry for my typing u are right ,i cant put together a sentence but if u would like for me to give u my phone number so we can have a debate over the phone rather than youtube ,ud find out im smarter than u know ,u with the whole corparate shit ,"whos gonna hire u "nigga ,nobody gonna hire me i dont fall into the corparate mold ,or that pro black ppl mold , all of it is bs and if u dont know that then ur the closed minded one

  • haha ok i guess u right but u dont realize the truth my highly educated nigga opps i mean brother, all that smart talkin shit isnt gonna change anuthing so yea he is a uncle tom ass nigga if u notice he never likes to let anyone get a point in and he always talks real fast and loud as to over power others ,thats a sigh of a arogant person who alrdy feels they are right and dont wanna hear shit u have to say they just wanna get herd so ya im still feeling the same about him and u

  • Dyson is a high educated black man ,he dosent speak for all black ppl only the smarter ones and i mean that nigga aint in touch with the streets ,tell him go preach that shit in the hood see if he dont get ran the fuck off,ppl doing bad dont wanna hear u the one thats doing good just straight up tell them not to do what they was raised around ,nigga need to find a better way to communicate ,most niggas in the hood dont know big wrds,he just another fancy rich nigga lookin for a pay day

  • @bearwolfz your inferred that Eric Dyson is an Uncle Tom. He is from the hood, just cause he doesn't walk around w/ his pants sagging talking slang or ebonics you don't think he's fake. PPl say that shit about Cosby too. That mentailty holds Black people down. I suggest you get a thesaurus to learn more affluent vocab. and stop saying nigga so damn much. Mr Dyson far from a nigga you stupid ass fool.

  • @bearwolfz How the fuck do you expect to be successful in life being so closed minded. That's the problem with us Black ppl. What prestigious corporate job is going to hire your ignorant ass if you can't even articulate a coherenet sentence?

  • @bearwolfz

Oh, the Irony. Change your username.

  • Why is Nelly responsible for the demoralization of the universe? lol!! WTF! People go to strip clubs and look at booty - talk to the industry the song was made for!? ...we already tried prohibition - didn't work.

  • Comment removed

  • That's embarrasing at the end of the video while the Dr. is trying to have an intelligent conversation with the interviewer and all of a sudden you hear, "yeahhhhhh mane"!!!

    Why hip-hop, why.

  • What were you doing watching uncut videos at 3 am

I am a cultural critic its my job

thats like saying "what were you doing watching porn at 3 am"

    "research,bitch"

  • Artists should be held accountable for their actions, however the blame shouldn't just aimed at hip hop artists like Mr.Tyson said this country was build on crime, hatred & unjustice; but as soon as we try to paint a vivid picture into the minds of those who've been through the same situations we're getting ridiculed, critized, penalized w/ capital punishment. If this world wasn't filled with war, hatred, racism, poverty, sucide then their would be no need for entertainment M.E.D.I.A is the real blame

  • it aint that deep man it aint that deep lol

  • lol its like a rap battle sorts up there

  • T.I was trippin lol

  • nelly is treat to hear...always on high!!!

  • whats so bad about tipdrill it used to come on after 12 but you can see a movie that got strippers, prostitution, violence, guns, etc. right after school infact im about to watch tipdrill right now hahaha

  • hip hop is dead the south killed hip hop

  • WTF DONT TRY TO BLAME IT ON HIP HOP IF U DONT WANT YOUR CHILD WATCHIN BET ECT OR MUSIC THERE SOMTHIN CALL PARENTAL CONTROLS

  • in 713 am english professor dyson looks like dizzy gilespie the trumpet guy in jazz

  • lol t.i.( helll naww!!)

  • I don't think this debate is even about Hip Hop, because they've been talking to rappers like 50 Cent and Nelly. I don't even think that Nelly and 50 Cent are even in the genre of Hip Hop. Hip Hop means more than just rhyming over a beat. REAL Hip Hop has meaning, and I don't think they should blame the entire genre just because of the music from this decade, because most of the Hip Hop from this decade isn't real. They probably chose fake rappers because they are the only ones to blame.

  • love the way tis eyes light up when he says purple haze

  • OMG LMAO I WOULD NEVER WANNA ARGUE WITH DR.DYSON. HE SERVED IT

  • TI was acting a dang fool.
