@Horsemanray : brian jones back to life would be awesome. lets see what was the last song he worked on the band with was? Sympathy for the devil in summer 1968? yeah I think so. He would bring that band back to life.
keith lives (sometimes!!) up the road in west wittering ;at redlands paid for the village hall roof ; i called round once!! he was out but the gardener showed me round a little bit!! this is where history was made!! haha he would have told me to fuck off anyway!!! love you keef
id like to hear some new songs like the some of the oldies they sung...like dont stop or street fighting man...jumpin jack flash stuff like that some songs in the same type as that
this is what i want. bring back mick taylor and let him kick it on lead. the stones have sounded like crap for the last 30 years. please do this before you guys "move on".
I think you guys are one of the greatest cover bands ever --- in addition to the other great things. I think you oughtta do more blues and r&b. You should get into jazz too -- esp. with Charlie back there. Best always,
I think most of us want the same thing, and I'm glad to see such a response. Put out an all blues-roots album--acoustic delta blues with some sweet slide guitar on a resonator and some electric Chicago style blues with Mick blowin' and bending on the harmonica. There was a great clip of Keith and Ronnie jamming some blues for grins on the "Bigger Bang" DVD extra bonus features. Some stuff like that would be great. Maybe even another Robert Johnson cover a la Love in Vain.
on tours, the stones should play songs that were under rated but are magic. you guys already played the popular crap. you just forgot about songs like let it loose moonlight mile torn and frayed 100 years ago till the next goodbye fool to cry winter sway prodigal son worried about you can you hear the music coming down again through and through and get rid of the honky modern kind of southern sound you play live now. roots are always important
I want to hear you cover "Worms of the Senses/Faculties of the Skull" by Refused from "The Shape of Punk to Come: A Chimerical Bombation in 12 Bursts."
First of all keith you guitar playin rocks..i wana hear the stones do an all blues album..you know! get guests like buddy guy..hubert sumlin and stuff to play on it....come keith and mick...you know it makes sense!!!
oi fumetti, Keith's got pure rhythm man, who cares bout the best solo's or amount of notes played. The Rhythm of a song is the blood, which flows to every inch of it. When Keith plays, u dont hear the song, u feel it.
I wanna hear about how you became so good at telepathic communication I mean what kind of stuff made you able to do that so well it is shockingly beautiful. well done. xx
i am your biggest fan ever and i would like to hear you come to dartford and do another free concert and play mothers little helper because i dont think i have heard you play that live
I would like to hear that your going back on tour to canada preferably ottawa ontario. lol . seriously any of the older music of the blues, route 66, miss you ,ruby tuesday etc.
G'day have all your or most of your music from way back. Saw your concert at randwick in Sydney back in 70,s it was unreal white horses and all.Your music has enspired me bought your last cd.
My Question:Would you buy one of my songs for $.99 or just tell me if it's shit.
Keep rockin and rolling till the crows stop crowing.
I "wonder" how the Rolling Stones music would sound like with Morrocan instruments. I know they've been in Morroco in 1967. It doesnt hurt to try how it would sound.
I made Keith's favourite "Shepards Pie" for dinner! and everybody LOVED it,they went for 3rd helpings! (Sorry, I don't want to brag)and its the truth, everybody said it was the most delicious "Shepards Pie" they ever ate!
I WANT Keith to live 4EVER!!!!!!!! I also want ALL the Stones to live 4EVER!!!!!!!!! I "HOPE" they are taking good care of their health!!!!!!!!!!! I also WANT Rolling Stones fans to live 4EVER!!!!!!!! Life is very tough and we "MUST" be kind to each other!!!!!!!!
my kitties would like to hear 'waiting on a friend' cuz they groove to that, when not groovin to billie holiday, it would make everyone happy if u did
Quality not quantity. 16 songs is a bit much. Go for 10 to 13 and make all the songs fucking amazing. Let's make it so one can listen to the album in one sitting. And don't just get some loud drums and yell the same line a million times and call it a song. Gimme some BLUES!!!!!!
how about a 1 4 5 in e or a i dont care any key, with a good amp and guitar maybe bill on bass ronnie and you on guitars and mister mic on mic singing along with mister watts on tuned percussion. doing the same song, maybe something like that. wayne out in sf ca usa
Keith, i have a request, of all of your friends and musical favorites that are now deceaced, who do you miss the most? and will you play one of their songs as a tribute?
wow thanks for offering to listen to us.really cool. as always..Judy from canada
Hi Keith, It makes my "heart" feel "HAPPY" when I see lots of people that say wonderful things to you! Peace,Love and Happiness to the Rolling Stones and ALL their fans around the world!
Keith, I would like to hear an acapella version of "Bitch" with you singing.
By the way, if the Rolling Stones need a mean bluesy triangle player, look no further than me. I have been wailing on the triangle in the swamps of Georgia since 1980. I go by the name of Howlin' Sweet Tooth. I need a gig with you guys to take me to the next level!
OH my, can you play any of the Gypsy Kings songs??? I bet it would sound marvelous if you play it (if you can... )Or maybe Yesterday from The Beatles?
Question: What do you think about Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts' smell??? I know its random...
Keith, you are my favourite! :-D I would love to hear "Little T & A" and "Hang Fire", 2 very good punk songs, I love them! And what about "Waiting On A Friend"? That's a lovely one too. So you see, I am a TATTOO YOU fan, START ME UP! ^^
My husband is in the "music business" and he organizes/promotes "professional" blues & blues/rock bands from the UK and im also helping him very much,BUT, the problem is that we get very upset/disappointed when NOT enough people show up at our gigs and the tickets are NOT expensive! Can Mick or Keith or somebody tell me what the HELL is the matter with people today!!!!? Are'nt they interested to go to a gig where they can relax/enjoy themselves!!!!!!?
Come to Australia, Keith. All of you, please come to Australia.
I'm fifteen but I was brought up on your music and other classic rock. I was not allowed to go to any of your previous concerts here as I was a bit too young.
Please, please, if I had money I would offer all of it but I don't.
You guys are incredible. My favourite band of all time. Australia loves you and so do I :)
I love the way you guys sing and play the blues. "That's how strong my love is" has me in a grip everytime I hear Mick sing it. So if you both would just do a little of that song together for all of us one more time...
Keith..Ive been playing guitar since I was 14 (19 Years)And I just wanted to ask you if you knew you "had it' with riffs the the main one in 'Can't You Hear Me knockin'?
Also, love the way you guys have been reinpreting the old tunes.. do you do it to keep em fresh and fun? or have they just slowly changed over the years?>
I want to send a question without anybody seeing my face on the living legend website to Mick & Keith and i dont know how to do it. I see "send message" on the living legend website,is there another better way to do it? Can somebody PLEASE help me with this??
back to the good years Beggars Banquet, Exile on Main St., Sticky Fingers and Let it Bleed. The past ablums have sucked only Some Girls has been the last good album. Or Keith to do more solo work with Jeff Lynne as producer because Jeff's awesome. I like the Bob Dylan suggestion but that would be like hearing two frogs croak at eachother.
My preference would be for you to recapture the tough, dark vibe of "999" and foist it upon the Stones! You and Ronnie need to drive the direction of a Stones record and get Mick to lay off the slow love ballads and "who-who-who" falsetto stuff. Even can the reggae-ish stuff and stay focused on rockin'. Dirty Work meets Beggars Banquet with a touch of Slide on This and Main Offender thrown in. Nobody can do what you do and I (repectfully) wish Mick would realize this and move over!
An idea that came to me recently : it would be nice and interesting for me if you will record a new studio album including your modern version of your best songs...I mean : a kind of greatest hits with your famous songs played today . Your way to play Jumpin' Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Shattered, Little T&A and so on changed a lot during the years...Why don't you fix them in a new studio album (and not simply in a live album) ? I would appreciate!
Why the conscious decision to not promote DAryl the Munch Jones as your bass player. Isn't he a big part of your current sound? Much in the same way Ronnie became the guitarist. He wasn't a founding member but, none the less, he's your guitarist. It looks goofy when you deliberately leave out Daryl Jones from the publicity shots.
Also..your best albums are the ones with the most variety. Beggars Banquet, let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers--they all have variety. You guys need to put ought an album with a range of genres--blues, country, rock, slower rock....ya know..all sorts of stuff. And throw some wacky experimental stuff in there! Bongos are always fun!
Well, keith, my favorite album being Beggars Banquet, I love your guys' acoustic album. And crap...the last time you had a good section of acoustic songs was exile on main steet, and that itself was few. Your albums for the last thirty years have been the streotypical rock sound--I mean it's good, but it's predictable. So go for the good old acoustics..that "jammin' in the basement" sound. It's been so long, and your roots are in the blues!
To;Rkmloveshp-Lennon/McCartney wrote a song specifically for the tones- their second single-"I Wanna Be Your Man"; Brian Jones playe sax on "Baby You're a Rich Man"; The Beatles sang back-up vocals on "We Love You"; Keith and John played together in "The Dirty Mac"-a jam band featuring Eric Clapton and Mitch Mitchell in the Stones' "Rock'n'Roll Circus".
But, don't go green. Don't go hippy. Don't go Marxist. Any "ism" and you're on the wrong track.
What about a song about bonking someone younger than your daughter?
Don't do a tribute to the father bluesmen. Take the piss out of them. Don't worry: they are dead, they will cope.
What is it with genX and genY that they want to listen to boomer music? Haven't they got their own generation? Can you imagine boomers sucking up to Bing Crosby? So write a song about it.
A collaboration with the other parts of The Big Four of British Invasion? Possibly getting together and releasing a couple of tracks with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Townshend, Daltrey, etc.
I had a dream some 15 years ago that the Stones asked me "what do people want from us?" WOW MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE! My answer is the same now as it was in my dream, "redisover your blues roots". STRIPPED was the best album ever, and it shows how timeless the music is. Mick, pick up that harp again. Keith you still play guitar like the legend you are. Peace & Love
Keith, I would like to hear you and Mick do a rendition of Shorty Long's "Function at the Junction." I always felt that would be a great remix with a lot of grit.
Keith, I thought that you kicked ass on your version of "Two Trains Running" on Hubert Sumlin's record. I would love to see you do that live with the Stones solo or, even better, with Hubert himself. I've been playing Blues for about 41 years now and I thank you for turning America, and me, on to where it came from.
Another tour. Saw you in Minneapolis in 05and you rocked! There are several songs on your CDs that would be awesome to see in concert She Saw Me Coming Driving Too Fast Lowdown Too Tight Blinded By Rainbows Hold on to Your Hat Winning Ugly Sleep Tonight Too Much Blood Pretty Beat Up Hang Fire Let Me Go Crazy Mama Soul Survivor
A new album with songs like 'Gimme Shelter,' 'Just A Shot Away,' 'Pain of Love,' & 'Loving Cup.' Some variety. 'Just My Imagination' has always been good, too. Thanks!
fer faks sake pack it in

Something like Papa lightfoot's " Wine Women & whiskey .
But with some great guitar riffs , Mick on harmonica .

What I want to ask? .. I would not know.
There are more than thirty years that dream of being able to talk to you. and now that I can ask anything, I do not know what to say.
Keith Richards, my hero, my guitar legend, the one who is able to make me dream for almost forty years!
Incredible!

Following up from the idea of doing covers of The Small Faces, what about covers of the great songs of some of your now-dead contemporaries?

Keith, I would like to hear an acapella version of "Bitch" with you singing.
By the way, if the Rolling Stones need a mean bluesy triangle player, look no further than me. I have been wailing on the triangle in the swamps of Georgia since 1980. I go by the name of Howlin' Sweet Tooth. I need a gig with you guys to take me to the next level!

Please come to my country!

back to the good years Beggars Banquet, Exile on Main St., Sticky Fingers and Let it Bleed. The past ablums have sucked only Some Girls has been the last good album. Or Keith to do more solo work with Jeff Lynne as producer because Jeff's awesome. I like the Bob Dylan suggestion but that would be like hearing two frogs croak at eachother.

the333redwaster 3 years ago
Hey Keith,
My preference would be for you to recapture the tough, dark vibe of "999" and foist it upon the Stones! Nobody can do what you do and I (repectfully) wish Mick would realize this and move over!
whoopeecat 3 years ago 2
An idea that came to me recently : it would be nice and interesting for me if you will record a new studio album including your modern version of your best songs...I mean : a kind of greatest hits with your famous songs played today . Your way to play Jumpin' Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Shattered, Little T&A and so on changed a lot during the years...Why don't you fix them in a new studio album (and not simply in a live album) ? I would appreciate!
Best regards,
Federico .

Why the conscious decision to not promote DAryl the Munch Jones as your bass player. Isn't he a big part of your current sound? Much in the same way Ronnie became the guitarist. He wasn't a founding member but, none the less, he's your guitarist. It looks goofy when you deliberately leave out Daryl Jones from the publicity shots.
candyear 3 years ago
Also..your best albums are the ones with the most variety. Beggars Banquet, let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers--they all have variety. You guys need to put ought an album with a range of genres--blues, country, rock, slower rock....ya know..all sorts of stuff. And throw some wacky experimental stuff in there! Bongos are always fun!
Mrmiles4 3 years ago

So write a song about it.
peachyman3 3 years ago
Firstly: never stop.
When everyone else was playing love songs you guys did "Under My Thumb". Someone else did "Good Morning Starshine" and you guys did "Paint it Black".
It's the subversiveness, the iconoclasm, the counterrevolutionarianism of the Stones that was your key.
Deep down, you know that asking us what we want to hear is not the right question. You know inside what we have to be told.
So pick the schmalz, the bullshit, the mindless muzak of this age and take the piss out of it

I had a dream some 15 years ago that the Stones asked me "what do people want from us?" WOW MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE! My answer is the same now as it was in my dream, "redisover your blues roots".
