@HKS134 Yes this was captured with my old setup 8800GT and Q6600 clocked to 3GHz. IIRC the FPS average on high settings was around 30. At airports it dropped to 20. With Fraps i lost around 5FPS.

@onecheman In the IL2 for PC you will crash 10 times before takeoff and make combat stunts. You will not know out of the aircraft from a spin... thing that DOESN'T exist in FS. I've never seen one. Strange cos' I put the aircraft into the extreme.

FS philosophy is: great graphics, "soft" realism.

No one needs to much BRAIN for see it's a product designed for the novice; or maybe you need a more brain for see that...

Most realistic is the X-place, the most ARCADE is the FS-X, I've a WW2 combat simulator (IL-2) it has better flight model than the FSX... Fly a real airplane and you will know what is a STALL, and not these shit from FS... Spins? never exist in FS...

For me the best sim was my first sim, in the 99' FLY!, with a REALLISTIC flight model, accurate COCKPITS, and a realistic engine start/management... start a jet engine in FS is like " push ON"...

@onecheman X-Plane (you probably meant) have maybe slightly better physics, but graphics and terrain are worse and it takes 60gb space. If you think that FSX is the most arcade then you are totally wrong because IL-2 is way more arcade than FSX, you can't even click buttons with mouse. I don't need to fly a real airplane to know what is stall. In FS you don't always spin when you get stall and you have to do way more things to start it up, there isn't any push ON (you probably mean CTRL+E)

1º IL-2 Sturmovik has a more realistic FM (spins, stalls) than FS saga.

2º No, Ctrl+E ¡NO! When you start a Jumbo, for example, you only need to push the starter in the headcockpit... (what I said "push ON")

3º Yes, you need to feel a real stall for KNOW how "realistic" is the arcade stall of the FS, it's more like a submarine diving... than a stall. The only "good" stall I saw is the one of 747 (f.e.) that falls like a stone.

@ElHyperion Outside of the missions i think the carrier is only static AI. There is a very good free software that will place ships, frigates, complete fleets etc and they are controllable. Search for 'AI Carriers 2'. You can get also get it from the fsxaddons site

Try something called "Multi Crew Experience" (for which there is fully working downloadable Demo) and take FSX to the next level.
