  • I blinked and I missed Osku's last shot

  • Man. Reading these comments is like reading comments below a video about "average penis size".. The average in the universe of youtube is just soo much higher!!! Wish I lived in youtube...

  • his consistency and spare shooting is so much better now

  • So glad this video shows Osku missing a few shots, it's a refreshing change from seeing strike after strike.

  • Man, you guys sound like assholes. Seriously, who is actually cocky enough to think they can beat someone in bowling. Your average means nothing, sure you average 240, doesn't mean you will always average that every time you bowl. Just saying, its better to be humble then to be ass.

  • Wow lotta hothead bowlers out there apparently. People chill, no need to judge, it's what he does, how does it affect you? It's a cool skill and I can appreciate that.

  • Im guessing he lost?

  • Can't take an idiot that palms it seriously. You know who palms the ball? Drunks on a Saturday night. Can't get proper revolutions with the thumb in the ball, so I need to palm it like a vagina. No wonder he has lots of fans, lots of fucking vagina's out there. Lots.

  • @mordanai Hello dick face have you tried to 2h? no? Then shut up using the 2h style is not palming and requires a lot of you're body. Yes palming is for drunks but do you're research before you complain about someones style. Also Insead of being an ass give someone some advice. kthxbye. signed ~ A bowling trying out the 2h syle because it works better for me and it more comfortable.

  • @E63isback yea lets see you try to beat him yourself ive never seen u on a pba telecast before

  • Thats the biggest drawback to a very powerful shot, when it hits light you leave 2-8-10 combos.

  • wow he sucks! he barely got an strikes. ha. what a loser

  • I just realized his opponent is Wu Siu Hong. Greetings from Hong Kong!

  • Misstersack, here's the deal. I'm quite happy to be able to average 210 on a house pattern. If that doesn't impress you ... I don't really care. But I CAN'T stand guys who go around dismissing everyone who doesn't have access to a sports shot. People like that are just bowling snobs of the worst kind.

  • damn that ball hits hard

  • This is so lame! And wth kinda name is Osku?

Even I can bowl better than him and im 14

  • @Misstersack well osku is finnish name... there is more lame names is english language like george for example and if you would know anything about this sport you should know who this dude is. You just suck and thats why you come here and start flaming =)

  • @rogueownaa Oi!! My dad was called George! >:(

    :D

  • @Misstersack um right how many tour tittles do u have?? im pretty sure o wait yea osku does have a tittle so show me your then maybe we will talk about who is better. grow up kid u suck

  • @i3enthebowlerkid How can you say I suck at bowling when you've never seen me...

  • @Misstersack the fact you think you could beat osku means you know nothing about bowling. you suck ill bowl you for money any day! do you live anywhere near NY??

  • @i3enthebowlerkid No I don't live near fag state. I'm in Minnesota.

Because I think I can beat him, means I know nothing about the sport?

Kid, just shut the fuck up right now. Do you know how ignorant you sound now? You're also saying I suck but you clearly once again, haven't even seen me bowl. You already are sounding like you have no IQ.

  • @Misstersack it means you have no knowledge of the sport. Osku has won PBA tittles you havent bitch

  • @i3enthebowlerkid I haven't as I am not of legal age. League bowlers CONSTANTLY outscore the pros anyways. Look it up why don't you.

  • @Misstersack you dumb fucking piece of shit!! league bowlers bowl on house shots!!! DUMB MOTHERFUCKER!!!!! have you ever bowler on a sport shot?? doubt it. league you get 20 boards to strike SPORTS SHOTS you get 1 or 2. you dumb fucking shit bag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @i3enthebowlerkid Sounds like your angry. lolumad?

I have bowled on a sports shot a couple of times. I scored pretty well. 198,210,221. Have YOU ever bowled on a sports shot? I'm starting to doubt that.

Even if he is bowling on a sports shot, he still sucks. Most people can agree with me on that. Just sayin'

  • @Misstersack i get sick of dumb shits like you that think a score a house shot means shit. I averaged 241 in a summer league on a house shot and 194 on sports shots. The fact you think that any one of the bowlers yu have bowled with in league or where ever would even stand a chance against even some of the worse pba is just plain dumb!. its stupid pieces of shit like you that are making this sport die by trying to take away respect from pros. what a pros on house shots 300s all around

  • @i3enthebowlerkid Can you not read? I CLEARLY said I've bowled on a sports shot a couple of times and SCORED GOOD!

In all honesty, it's idiotic hotheads like YOU that make the sport die. Nobody wants to bowl with someone who think's their right all the time and is such a hothead, they shut out the truth with their shitty logic.

And PUH-LEEZ, I know plenty of people that have a chance against this dude. He's not even that good of a pro.

BTW: "yu" is NOT a word.

  • @Misstersack yea i doubt that go bowl on US open you will shoot 150 i guarantee it

  • @Misstersack Scored Well*

  • @Misstersack just won on shark lol

  • @BenjaminVlaeminck1 cool story bro, go tell it to someone who gives a fuck. I already gave my two cents.

  • I've noticed that he throws it much harder than Jason Belmonte (on the first ball) And he doesn't have as high of a rev rate.

  • @JMIK123 he actually has a higher rev rate the belmo. usku just has more end over end roll then jason does and since he throws the ball harder it hooks less

  • Thats a lot of spin! (Or hook) I'm a new bowler but I use this method to make my shots hook. I can't do it with one hand :(

  • @WolfieTed Me neither

  • insultante la manera de tirar de este inutil

  • That was a bad day for Osku.

  • 6:28 He throws it fuckin fast :D

  • it was just a bad day for him, some days no matter how hard you try you can't bowl

  • move back hahaha

and omg osku was bowling so bad

  • this is the osku who just bowled a 1683 over 6 games series recently... hes a monster when on form...

  • does anyone know how to gain more speed with the two handed approach?

  • @2handedbowler1 After your 2nd step (if your throwing with 5 steps) go as lo as you can so you can get higher backswing. That really helped me :)

  • Thnks for your help

  • I agree, I have a very similar style though I only use one hand...but still use only two fingers (like Osku/Jason). To generate more speed I get as low as I can, and try to speed the approach.

Obviously my rev rate and speed are a little lower than these guys as I only use a single hand, though things are almost identical in all other areas. My rev rate is still very very high though I'm working on getting a little more speed to help on dry lane conditions with aggressive balls.

    Kei

  • More steps? If you notice, Osku has a 6 step approach. Its hard to say really.

  • Try to keep your hand inside/behind the ball. If you let it get outside too early you won't be pushing through much of the ball and you'll have less pace on it.

  • Your comment gave me a good laugh, he would destroy you.

  • Stfu he's a professional r do u bowl

  • must be a reallly hard sport shot

  • Comment removed

  • He got really lucky in a few of the middle frames. Went through the nose and somehow ended up with 9 pins. I guess that's what two-handed revs do.

  • they bowl better than you so stfu

  • chill out man, bowling goes through its phases of innovation. If they feel they can get more revs on it let em. it's not always the greatest thing to have to much of. theres nothing wrong with this at all, and if you didn't know people were freaking out when people started using 3 fingers instead of a thumb and 1 finger.

  • Wow dude, try to be open minded. If you watch more Osku or Belmonte vids you will see that they are not just "tossing it out there and hoping for the best". That statement proves how ignorant you are. If you like one handed better, so be it but don't hate on people just because they do things differently than you. It is pretty pathetic that you feel the need to troll things you know clearly know nothing about.

  • it takes tones of skill to do you don't have a clue what you are talking about

  • it does, trust me, i just started doing the "twin-grip" or two handed approach, you can get a ton more power on it and can control the spin a lot more....plus i had a local pro, hope to be on the pro tour help me out, and hes been doing the two-handed for 5 years, and he can even backhand spin with the two-hands

  • solid staff

  • there is no best "way" just like there is no "best" ass!! its what works for you that counts, after you get the basics then you work on consistance

  • I find two hands a little easier. I don't know y it is easier but it just is. I bowl both ways. If I find a shot with one hand then i bowl one handed. If I find a shot with two then I bowl with two hands. I think its easier to bowl with your opposite hand two handed.

  • 2 handed bowler r good, you probably dont kno 1 thing bout fucken bowling.

  • it is nice to see them struggle a bit. see them making moves on the approach. Unlike the Weber Cup. How many 300s on tv so far??? You could throw it anywhere on that lane and pretty much strike.

  • if you bowled 290s often you would be on the pro tour often. You remind me of the idiots who always tell me "yea dude! my friend from college is the best bowler, he averages like 260!".... if that was true, he would be the best bowler in the history of mankind. Why make up lies dude?

  • lol, dude I bowl at woodhaven lanes-Michigan, when you don't get anything for bowling high games. No I don't think my friend from college is the best because he averages 260, my friends that were on the high school team last year made states Abed Daher, Doug Mazurco. Abed=1 Doug=2 They at least average 270-280.

  • lol thats a complete lie dude, jeff carter holds the record for high average in a season which is 261. so dont be a dumbass and tell us you know guys who average 270-280.

  • Uh, its called high school bowling. Not PBA or anything like that, and I'm talking about Michigan. He was State champ Twice

  • Jeff Carter's average is a league average. no one has ever averaged 260 on the tour for a whole season. and high school bowling is all baker style so only teams can be champs, not single bowlers. so your an idiot

  • stfu

  • Bull shit.

  • Funny how he shuffles his feet the same way one handed as he does two handed

  • ih lol my bad.. another thing why doesnt he just throw it straight? i mean look at the last throw he throws it straight and strikes..

  • hes not bowling alone!!!

  • why is he bowling alone

  • My best friend averages 235 in four leagues and has shot 35 300's and 16 800's since going to his two handed release.

  • two handed bowlers ont score near as consistent as 1 handers i mean comon look at this dude

  • The best amateur in the world is using two hands. Jason Belmonte.

  • but look who was the best amateur for a long ass time it was sean rash and the only reason that belmonte is the best AMATURE is becuase he isnt good enough to go pro.

  • Riiiiight.

  • Your a dumbass, Belmonte is making way more money touring the world as an amature than any of the PBA bowlers do. that's why he is still an AMATURE. so know your god damn facts before you say somethin stupid like that again

  • haha thats why chris barnes told me face to face "Belmonte makes more money then I do, if he wanted to be out here with us (on the PBA) he would have no problem and would be one of if not the best."

  • lol world bowler of the year, isnt impressive? you know what your talking about.

  • he bowls circles around you

  • jason belmonte is the most talented two handed bowler. osku is the most well rounded. he can well with two hands and just one. he can also throw a very good backup ball with one hand also. he can shoot straight at spares.

  • He does not make more money than me, that I guarantee you. But he certainly is capable of it. He will come out on tour when he is ready to. No doubt talented enough as is Osku. There is a learning curve on tour just as there was at the beginning bowling amateur tournaments. These guys will both be successful on tour someday when they choose to go.

  • oh man that was awesome! especially that last shot

  • You can see the ball hook without two hand throw also. You can throw it too without two hands, and without the thumb, which adds the rounds it spins while on the way to the pins. Or just regular one hand throw and learn the hooking technique.

  • I have been bowling two handed now for 4 years and i am told to stop over and over again. Most of this is due to the fact that the two handed style allows more carry than a normal style does due to the degree of hook and power. Two handers in my league have already bowled three 300s and two 800's so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

  • theres nothing wrong with two handers or no thumbers. Don't get me wrong. I bowl with no thumb. The carry is a lot better but when you go through the nose or high you have a much easier chance to get a nasty split. Plus whats the point of bowling any certain way if you can't control it.

  • This guy is sick, awesome!!

  • Power is nothing without control. If he can't convert his spares he is just a 1 trick pony, not a good all-round bowler

  • I think he has improved since this competition... Last sunday I was watching Osku with his team Patteri racing for the Finland's championship on team bowling, and saw him covering many pretty hard spares. He threw the ball very straight, the straightest that I have any one seen throw. And every time he hit right on the exact spot, needed to cover the spare. And I think he definitely has improved from what this video shows

  • I don't really see the point of a two-handed approach... it's not much different from just throwing a two-finger ball, and they're usually not very accurate when they have to play a straighter line anyway.

  • the point of the other hand is to guide the other. The left hand also allows the right hand to stay under the ball longer allowing more revs

  • ive seen him on the WYC 2006 :) hes ball is freakin fast!!!!

  • evryone knows mika's the better fin

  • amen to that... palermaa's good but mika is incredible

  • Lmfao.... Osku Palerma was is the WORLD bowler of the year.... so please...

  • The revs and accuracy is pretty amazing. Merc..sorry to say but ur whole thing on his spare shooting is incorrect. Do you really think he could make the U.S. open TV show by not being able to shoot spares? Are u crazy? 50+ games and i bet he was throwing 5-6 in a row EVERY game. Get ur info straight :P

  • Osku's style is great when it comes to two-handed bowlers. Anyone on here who wants to criticize his game can face him.

  • i used to bowl like that. high game 211. now i bowl like a normal human =].

  • I like Osku's style, but he needs to work on some of his spare shooting. Too much power isn't the best thing in the world when shooting spares.

  • Put your fingers in the ball and throw it right.

  • You're an idiot mercarian. First of all, his fingers are in the ball and he throws it right. Second of all, I guess now isn't a good time to tell you that the 2 top rated tenpin bowlers in the entire world are 2-handed, huh? Osku and Jason Belmonte would wipe the floor with anyone in the world.

  • Hey douche bag he has a horrible style. Second I can tell by his spare shooting that he's moderate at best. And if he was so good asshole why isn't he constantly on the PBA tv matches. Then again I can tell your retarded by thinking two handed bowlers are the best... Go back in time and tell your mommy to get an abortion

  • Hilarious. First of all, he's not consistently in PBA Tournaments because he's in FINLAND and in case you didn't know, it costs lots of money to be in PBA Tournaments. Secondly, as a silver-certified USA bowling coach, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. Get your head out of your ass and stop being jealous that you don't have the physical tools to do what some of the best bowlers in the world do.

  • If you truly were a coach then you would admit that his style is horrid. Second throwing that way will not make you generate any more revs then a typical cranker. And third if your good enough you would travel and still make money. So I really doubt that you yourself are a good bowler, what a poser

  • LOL, hilarious. They generate more revs because the left hand is put on top of the ball and rotated downwards, generating better axis tilt with a front roll immediately before release. They also generate more ball speed because using the bi and triceps to generate power results in better power than using gravity in the pendulum swing from your shoulder. Also, there's more money to be made in, you know, WORLD CUPS, than in PBA tournaments.

  • If your ball speed theory is correct why do softball players use a windmill style? Rotation is how you get around the ball which would still be faster with a high backswing opposed to a short one using your other hand. This style is complete garbage. Some retard kid used to throw this way a couple years ago in my league and never came close to the revs I generated on the ball.

  • Softball players also go in a full 360 degree motion and are supposed to increase speed throughout. A proper bowling technique is to let gravity carry your arm the entire way with no force of your own. This obviously (if you've taken physics) does not generate more energy than putting your own force into it along with the gravity.

  • wanna bet osku out avg's rev's you ?? :P

  • I put in the low 500 range. Thanks for wasting my time moron

  • You are seriously a loser. How about you go to every two handed video on youtube and complain like a little baby. Oh wait, you already have. Oh, and in reply to your other hundreds of posts on other videos, the reason why one handers are still more "successful" than two handers is because two handers are relatively new to the bowling circuit. So please just stop being WRONG about everything you say and spare everyone your ignorance.

  • How can opinions be wrong, your showing true ignorance. Again, in 5 years if this style becomes mainstreamed I will admit being wrong. I doubt it will happen. Get over it.

  • Well.. Osku is well above 600 and has been tracked at 733 when he really wanted to rev it up.

  • I find that hard to believe. On the PBA tour, they always speak of Robert Smith putting in the 650-700 range, yet when Osku went on several of the torneys' they never spoke of his rev rate. Do you have documented proof of your claims?

  • Watch the World Tenpin Masters..

Robert Smith average is 575 rpm, Osku averaged 620 in the masters.

  • Thats nice...

also note that this guy uses 2 fingers, no thumb in the ball AND an extra hand to create that much spin..

    Meanwhile..

Robert Smith uses ONE hand.. thumb IN the ball

AND a specific drilling style known as Sarge Easter, where one of the finger holes is drilled Conventional to CUT down on his rev rate..

so 575 would be about 650+ with normal fingertips and i can only imagine with 2 fingers and a extra hand on the ball..

  • i dont get it

  • thats where your full of shit dude, they did a segment on a pba telecast showing robert smiths normal rev rate vs his trying to crank the ball. 525rpm normal and 640rpm cranking the ball. get your damn facts right before you talk

  • I have seen that episode. HOWEVER, nobody seems to be providing hard evidence of rev rates of 2 handed players. So fuck off fruitcake.\

  • one of the tournaments osku was in during one of the finals in europe measured over 700 rpm from a normal shot. results came from the CATS system. pay attention to what the announcers say and you would learn something. and if you knew enough about ball reaction and pin carry directly connecting to revolutions put on a ball, you would never have started this stupid argument about two-handers getting more revs on the ball

  • I'm sorry, but you still haven't provided any hard evidence. Where is the website/video/writing in which that state he puts that proves that fact? Second Smith put 640 rpm on a ball using the sarge eastern grip, lofting it far down the lane. I'm sure he could have put more on the ball. Finally, stop being a douchebag. Only assholes bring up comments from a year ago....

  • Last but not least, would you like to check my College Bowling profile showing a 195+ average on a variety of sport shots on a Top 15 in the country bowling team? Get the hell out of here.

  • 195 is decent for a sports shot. But I guess it makes you good enough for a "Top 15" bowling team in the country. Thats odd I would assume you would average higher as most "pro's" average in the low to mid 200's on sports shots. Are you sure your in a top 15 team?

  • Oh, sorry, let me check the final rankings. Yep, there we are. Top 15. 8 pins out of nationals.

  • And if you wanna keep b*tching about how I'm apparently a horrible bowler, why don't you go watch some of my videos and see how, as i'm sure you can't do since you're a house bowler, I can play different parts of the lanes and different styles of shot depending on the condition.

  • Well, reading through seeing you two at it, i went and watched somee of your videos, hotshot, and quite frankly, you suck! You dont even follow through completely on your shots and you have a rediculous amount of loft on every shot..

  • No way, I loft it sometimes? That couldn't be because that's how that house shot is played with my style, is it? No way, couldn't be.

A RIDICULOUS amount of loft would be when I loft the gutter in one of my videos. Not when the ball lands at the dots.

Follow through? And...? Are you one of the geniuses who still thinks that the CG on a ball matters, too?

  • By the way, oh professional bowler, where are your videos? That's right...nobody wants to see the videos of a 155 average house bowler.

  • Hmm, lets see, might just be the fact that i DONT have a camera to take videos with? That might just explain it...and before you go running off, i bowl on 3 leagues and bowl in weekly tournaments, i hold a 206 avg at my home alley and a 198 sport shot avg, anymore comments?

  • My comments would be that you are lying because nobody in the world has a sport average that is only 8 pins lower than their house average. The best sport bowlers in the world (PBA professionals, averaging about 210-225 on a sport shot) average over 250 on a house shot. Either you're lying or you are bowling on a horrible sport shot league that isn't an actual sport shot.

  • Actually its an actual PBA Experience league. And who says no one in the world does? Ive been bowling on sport patterns for 3 years now, you tend to get used to them after a while..then again, having 11 balls to choose from when im bowling does help once in a while...

  • Everyone says no one in the world does. So like I said, either you're bowling in a horrible house that doesn't even use a kegel machine, or you're lying. Because you're not only averaging 8 pins lower on a sport shot than you are on a house shot. The only people who might do that are the people who are straight-balling it down 19.

  • hi i am 14 and i throw the ball like osku but instead i use all 3 fingers. i also shoot my spares with my same style i do not use one hand for spares i stick with 2. i average 180 and i am the reigning jbt new england bowlier of the year. there is nothing wrong with two handers its just that they use their other hand. i use my other hand for support while bowling. i love my style and i am not going to change.

  • NONE of your babbling is supported by a good arguments. If you take talented bowlers in general, then no, I would say two handers and one handers are evenly matched. And if you go to the best in the world, I would still say they are evenly matched, there just aren't enough two handers out there yet to pose a huge difference. Just admit that you simply hate two handers because you are narrow minded and can't stand to see bowling begin to evolve.

  • I give credit where its due. For instance, the style of reverse pencil grip in table tennis wasn't popularized until several years ago, and now its a venerable style. This however, its an oddity style that will NEVER come to popularity. I don't understand why you responded to multiple posts of mine. And I've used proof, hence why there are only 2 two handed bowlers that are "good."
