I admit I was in High school when the rap group Sugar hill gang came around, I'm 51 my sister (10yrs my senior) use to listen to the Motown sound when she had to baby sit us in the 60ties. She went away to the US Army in 1968 which was the saddest time. I remember the Supremes and the Temptations had their ABC Special. How could I forget that great song " I'm going to make you love me" . Rapping in a cheap way of not learning a instrument. A Rapper! BS!!!!!

What David Ruffin brought to the table was not only his unique voice but stage presence. You went to the Fox not only here him sing but to see the moves that Paul Williams had help orchestrate for the Temps. Before 1964 the doo-oop groups sang without to much movement. The Temps changed that forever.
