this might sound like a really stupid question, but what do they actually do at church? does the priest or whatever just read from the bible and people listen to him reading it? Or are can people ask the priest things or what really goes on inside a church?
Yeah I know I probably sound pretty stupid, but I have never been to a church in my life so I honestly have no clear picture of a church sermon

at my church the pastor gives a sermon on a subject pertaining to the bible after we sing hymns.
