  • Great Video! I truly believe they would have been proud.

  • Take em home Yankees We sure as hell don't want your trash in our scared soil.

  • rest in peace gentlemen

  • because they're really gonna have a hearse in the 1860s

  • What's the name of the tune being played on the fifes, any takers?

  • @jeffhegarty Taps is what it's called, I do believe.

  • @ffcloud321 Thanks!

  • @jeffhegarty i belive it is a funeral march. patiicualry for a fallen drummer boy.

  • @guywith3 Much obliged!

  • @jeffhegarty "Roslin Castle" is the name of the tune and it was used as a funeral march as early as the 17th century in Scotland England and later US. The official duty called for a dirge to be played marching into the cemetery and a quick march to be played on the way out. As I recall we marched out to "Merry Men Home from the Grave" ca 1861.

  • To say that the Southern cause was illegitimate because of slavery, then one must be consistent and concur that the U.S Revolution of 1776 was illegitimate because they too at the time had slaves, and viewed them as the property they didn't want taxed without representation. The south wanted to be independent from the Federal Government. It was a Just cause. A just causes might be lost on the battle field, but never in the arena of ideas!

  • No you are the jackass and States' Rights inst a cover for anything of the sort!

Does it make you feel proud to go out of your way to criticize people who honor the dead just because you have no self esteem or human compassion in your heart?

These men in the video were Union soldiers and my ancestor a Confederate soldier, but I would honor their memories because they choose to volunteer and fight. Any veteran deserves respect!

  • i had ancestors on both sides one of them might have shot stonewall jackson because he was in the regiment jackson was visiting when he was killed i don't know anything about my union ancestor though. I agree with you all veteran deserve respect no matter what their faults because there are people out there that love them for what they have done

  • Dont feel bad, what happened just happened. Its all as God wills it to be. And thanks for your opinion.

  • I never said that the war had nothing to do with slavery you ignorant pissant. The fact is slavery had as much to do with it as abortion ultimately has to do with the fight between liberals and conservatives...in short very damn little.

States Rights is about the 10th Ammendment to the US Constitution. It means that aside from what the States give the Federal Government in the first nine, it has no other business getting involved in local governments. END OF STORY!

  • VerminFondler: You are a poltroon.

  • so, where (and how) did they find these soldiers remains? I assume that they do not know who they are.

  • The coveneant was fulfilled.

If you are wounded, I will get you to a medic.

If you are killed, I will bring you home.

If I cannot bring you home, I will come back for you or send daughters and sons to will come back, their dayghters and son.

We will search forever to bring you home.

    Rest in peace.

You are remembered as heros and warriors who sacrificed for freedom and liberty.
