@Bellina1100 go to Louisiana or Houston, Tx. Houston has a large Creole population and most of the Creoles in Louisiana can be found from St. Martin Parish up to about Natchitoches (Toward Cane & Red river) Lafayette, LA is the central spot for Zydeco in Louisiana though.

I have creole heritage in my family from New orleans however I prefer the Houston, Tx zydeco scene. I guess cuz I am currently in Dallas and it is just more convenient to drive. But I especially love the dances held at the Catholic churches!

rhythm pure. Never saw such a good couple dance. Maybe some sexy parts are from rumba dancing. Anybody knows the meaning of waving with the white handkerchief? In other videos bout Zydeco I saw a red handkercief on backside. This stuff is unfortunally almost unknown in Europe and Europe needs it!

sounds like a take off of "Turn on Your Love Light" a lot of Zydeco bands do a variation of that song around here. It's an old R and B song originally done with horns and stuff

This I do believe is the band Chris Ardoin and Double Clutchin'..If not then it sounds like J Paul and the Zydeco New Breeds..By the way, this is one of the BEST ZYDECO DEMOS ever..Harold and his partner just have it done..both the old school and the Nouveau Style..Its' not too suggestive, just very sexy, funky and really, really good....

The original Turn on Your Love Light was recorded by Bobby "Blue" Bland in 1959.

It's a standard among bands that play R&B.

The Blues Brothers and the Grateful Dead have both covered this song (along with a million others). Great song.
