The fashion show in this is a legendary pop culture moment that my friends and I reference ALL THE TIME--it's so utterly ridiculous. "Whipping up excitement" LULZ!! "Life's RIch Tapestry" by Modern English was also released as a single on 10" vinyl back then--longer version than what's on this soundtrack. Joanna Cassidy has the craziest hair/outfit in this scene!

I love how despite such a disastrous end - her mom coming home, the fashion show gate-crashed, her real age revealed, bryan finding out whats going on, you get the impression that everything is worked out in the end and its gonna be ok after all. The fashion gurus loved sue-ellen's designs, the company is saved, she ties up the loose ends with rose, bryan, even deals with her mom in a calm and mature way. Infact all the kids have grown and become better ppl while surviving alone.
