Lydiard trained champions who in turned trained me, I wont forget the speed I ran through the waiataruas, the same ground that Snell trained on. 100 miles a week and straight to bed after training when sick. Nothing stopped us!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video footage. Thank-you. Brought back some fantastic memories. Ran against this great man on two occasions. Firstly in 1964 Olympic finals where I finished fourth. Then in 1965 at Dublin in a one mile race. Happy times. Alan Simpson
