Before anything I want to say this, I DON'T PLAY COD4, ALL MY INFO COMES FROM MY OWN RESEARCH. I personally prefer a full size battle rifle like the M14, the 7.62X51mm NATO round has better penetration and stopping power, it's a bigger round and delivers almost twice the energy, plus it has more powder behind it, it's less affected by wind, and has better range, 1000 yards is possible, M4 has less range and stopping power. Barrel is too short for round to fragment.

m16 beats any version of ak ne day. m4 is basically just a more compact variant of the m16 which is just the military's deignation for the armalite company's ar15. it is more accurate than the ak because it fires the smaller 556 mm (as does the m4 and all its variants) at greater velocity than the ak's 762 mm.

why should the army pay for an overpriced rifle? Handled an upper before , it's all hype. It is however the smoothest piston rifle i've fired but nothing extraordinary. A lot of carbon builds up in the piston itself and thus it is prone to more wear and tear. The m4 is just fine.

M4A1 is the designated name of the Military's Full Auto Carbine, based on Eugene Stoner's AR15 rifle Design.

Closest thing you can get to the M4A1 is buying a Colt Carbine that is Semi Auto.

Or you could get a Registered Full Auto lower/rifle that was made before 1986 (Class 3 transferable, only if your state allows it) and you will pay out the ass for it ($12,000 or more). Then you would have to add the shorter barrel, carbine stock, etc etc.

Or a RDIAS, which you will pay alot for too.

M4/M16 is no match for the M14. I'd rather take the M14 anyday than I would take a M16. It shoots harder, much more accurate, and I can kill from 0-500m. Let's see an M16 do that.

Second i have fired all of these weapons including the G36c which i might add i do agree with AnotherClich3 on the fact that it is a very well designed weapon. m4a1 is a deadly rifle, and the smaller bullet size doesn't matter much because most of its targets will be un-armored. Although it has a lot of problems, it's still a good rifle. The m14 is ALSO a good rifle and is STILL USED as a DM rifle, but the m16/4 has a higher rate of fire.
