This game is one of the worst to ever come out. Game play mechanics are just grinding till your skills are high enough to do damage, but, the weapons they give you as base weapons do raise your skill, you have to come up with cash to buy some, which you cant gt unless you kill a shit ton of stuff, or are lucky when you kill something. This game blows ass, dont waste your money. It's full of fan boys and griefers, who just care about growing their e-peen.

globa cooldown on nukes... having every magic school now is only useful for giving you variety of what nuke you want to cast, you can't use them all in a 10second period anymore. Melee / Archery is also much more effective, PVe is Challenging and fun. Game is way better.

Furthermore spells drain alot from their casters, most advanced ones drain stamina and mana and some even take blood from their owners.

Like Flames of Vengeance, which is a powerful spell no doubt but costs alot to cast and it's a DoT area so people moving out of the field will just waste the spell.

Magic is played with patience and tact, not spamming, if you spam advanced spells without thinking through first be prepared to get pwned by the time you are done, you are half dead.

It's not harry potter online, not everyone has the tactics nor the skills to be a good mage.

Sure everyone can cast spells, you start with two basic spells which you will surely use in time and gain more spells. It's the blue ringbolt thing, called mana missile.

Even if there are alot of people casting it does not mean they are all mages, MM is just a good way to have a free ranged area attack.

Archers do just as well as mages, swordsmen do just as well as archers.

i dunno about that....today we fought a siege and the primary weapons of choice were melee, archery (underwater archery) and ship cannon fire.

Magic was used as support and not really that much...it's important but without melee archery and ship combat the battle would have been lost.

Unbalanced classes eh? There are NO CLASSES in darkfall. Figure out how they are unbalanced from that then.

Laggy 1v1? Darkfall is solid and lagfree even with a hundred players on the screen in huge battles, why would you even try and make out that it's laggy in 1v1?

Unresponsive UI is complete rubbish also, you press a button and your character does it.

I get the feeling you have never even played the game.

There are hackers, yes, but the game is not full of them, personally i havent met many hackers, but their definatly there. i dont really think hacking is a big problem any more tho, they banned alot of people for it.

have u acually played the game? the UI is good once uve gotten used to it, while magic may be abit overpowered atm, there is no "classes", so everyone can be a mage if they want too. while i agree the skill system might have a few problems atm, its not bad, all it need is a softcap and a decay imo, and it would be perfect. Laggy 1v1? if ur in EU and playing on the EU server, its not lagging at all unless u have a really bad connection. same goes for US server.

And this is the only game I have played that didnt lag when 200 other players where in the same battle, 500 people starts to get choppy, Ill agree. But you are kidding yourself if you think thats poor performance, nothing else handles that many in the same battle at once. And still lets you fight in FPS twitch style.
