I used iMovie 11 on my Mac, found a timer video on YouTube, used 'iTube' to download it onto my HD, and dragged it in on top, it's a feature called PIP or picture in picture. Haha I actually think the way you did your timer was better, although it won't take me all night to work it out next time.
