I'm positive Brett Favre will not be on the Madden 09 roster. They only created a Brett Favre player, to just show off the cover athlete. Seeing Brett Favre in the game doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be on the rosters. There may be some kind of possible feature to play with retired athletes, I"m not sure. They're just trying to show off the cover guy by creating a player of him in Madden 09. Don't count on Brett Favre being on the Madden 09 roster when the game releases.
