@jetixiz84 @jetixiz84 well, there are different opinions on what it means to cut hair "correctly". Straightening hair that's naturally full of kinks, folds and combing it against it's natural growth finding shorter/longer bits of hair that technically aren't ideal, but in some cases necessary to make the cut "fit" your clients head.

@tintzki Yes thats true, but we have to make sure the cut is exactly measured the same length... I do cut clients hair to fit there head, but to cut hair of a client that chooses a scut that doesnt my make it harder... straightening hair arent ideal, but can find mistakes from hair stylist is lacking of...

@jetixiz84 My advice would be to style your hair as you normally would like to, and start scrutinizing the parts that just don't work. Are your bangs too thick? Not enough layers? too much layers? is your hair too poofy, frizzy or flat? go to a professional with clearly voiced thoughts on exactly what's wrong with your hair, they'll help you and fix the problem. But they can't fix a problem that they don't know exists! :)

It looks like, she is doing what ever, Clippings are for starters... Im a stylist myself, when i cut long hair, i section it clearly, I just dont just comb it through and cut it... Cuz you can tell if the hair is cut correctly, after you use a flat iron to straighten it...

when you cut the hair over the models head like the lady was doing, the hair on the top of the head WILL be shorter than the hair lower. Try it! I'm not sure if that answered your question...

She did section the hair. A good hairdresser sees the sections without clipping them down. Using clips helps ofcourse, but they're not necessary.
