i have wired smoke alarms in my house

a smoke alarm will save your life as long as you take proper care of it by changing the battery when it churps or when daylight savings time comes your smoke alarm will not work without a battery or if the battery no good anymore. and for those of you people out their that don't have smoke alarms get some!!!!! and if you already have smoke alarms make sure they still work if they dont get new ones!!!! and be sure to install a carbon Monoxide alarm at least 15 feet from your furnace.
