wow this was the pre-oprah era...which aired on wkbw from 1986-1991ish...this must've been during the summer of 1985 judging from the temperatures irv gave...
@Parkwaymania: nice, i never knew about fright night, but it way better than the talk shows that fill the 11:30pm slots now....did wivb, wkbw, and wutv also show horror films after the 11pm news on saturday nights??...my mother frequently went out on sat nites back then (around 1987), and i faintly remember waking up late at night to find my babysitter scaring herself silly watching one of these movies in the family room with the lights dimmed...

Oh yes, WKBW Fright Night is something I am still on the search for.... hopefully that intro will turn up on an old tape at some point!
