I'm actually looking for monarch migration footage to borrow for a children's video I'm making for my internship (on monarch migration). Lovely film. Here on the West Coast, we tend to think of the Monarchs as "ours"; great numbers of them actually choose to winter over in eucalyptus groves around the Monterey Bay (Pacific Grove and Santa Cruz). It's interesting that the markings on our West Coast Monarchs are slightly different from yours, though they are clearly the same animal.
