  • Ummm, it wasn't Dennis' decision to be replaced. He got ill when they were trying to make the album Brave New World and wanted him to commit to a tour. It took him more than a year to even get the diagnosis for what was wrong with him. He had developed a symptom of the flu which made his face heat up under the bright lights of the stage. Dennis practically begged them to wait but they refused. Which if it had been Tommy or James that had been ill, Dennis would have waited for them to get better.

  • does anyone also like "Lady", "Too much time on my hands", or "Renegade?

  • @Weretyu7777 I like Lady as well as Too Much Time On my Hands. I would like Renegade more if they didn't play it so much on classic rock radio stations.

  • Great rock track :)

  • @gregboyds - They do...!

  • Things were good back then... Not as rough as today.

  • Well, I forgot I made those comments a few weeks back. I finally got me a job, so as of January 16, 2012, I will be back in the working world (YAY!!!!)

I'm gonna be a "Blue Collar Man" lol.

  • @1962drob This WHOLE album is GREAT!! ROCK ON!!!!!!! CONGRATS ON THE JOB :)

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin Thanks BRO!!! I appreciate it!!! ROCK ON DUDE!!!

  • Styx were THE concert band of the late 70's & Pieces of Eight was their best album. I've got this one on both black & gold vinyl.

  • Man, I would give ANYTHING just to be a "Blue Collar Man" right now. I'm getting sick and tired of not finding any kind of work. It's getting quite frustrating.

Sorry for the rant. I've been out of work for 7 months now, and in this economy, it's getting harder to find any kind of work. And some places I applied for online, they make you take this lame assessment.

It was much easier applying for work when I was young.

  • @1962drob im sure it was hell ive been out of work and lookin for over two years, its tough everywhere, nd it seems like all those places u have to apply online all make you take those stupid assessment questions, ridiculous.

  • @tarkan525201 You are so right man!!! I noticed places like Walmart, K-Mart, Supermarkets, and call center jobs among others make you take the same assessment tests, and they are stupid. And you really can't go in person to too many places anymore. They tell you "Go online and fill out an app".

I'm sorry to hear you've been looking for 2 years, but hang in there BRO. The more places you apply, the more offers you get, and the better your chances.

Thanks for your kind words :)

  • Uriah Heep organ riff. But that's where the similarities end.

  • Styx were damn fine before Tommy Shaw - but I contend that Shaw was the legend-making element. And I see somebody accusing DeYoung of a rectal-cranial inversion - yeah, hate it when that happens. I just called him senile. :p

  • How can you even compare Styx to Justin crybaby Beiber? That is an insult to Styx and everyone who was ever a part of Styx! I think even the people who hate Mr. Roboto would say that song is better than Justin Beiber.

  • My dad use to tour with styx. He use to play guitar for them. He especially knows Tommy Shaw.

  • Justin Bieberbaby is no comparison to Tommy Shaw. What an insult to Tommy and Styx. Bieber, oy! what a joke.

  • Great song, almost a joke today given the political and economical climate.

  • Comment removed

  • Styx was okay...Justin Shaw Bieber is much better...he's built upon the sound of Styx and created a new genre.

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome. Cant put it into any better words than that.

  • bon vieux clasic rock annee 80 !!!!!!!

  • This song...ROCKS!!!!!

  • Is the lead singer of this song Chuck Panozzo?

  • @jityr2 No, it's Tommy Shaw

  • @thekingZoul Is Tommy Shaw the one at the near center of the picture?

  • @jityr2 Yeah, Tommy's the one in the "center" back beacause he was the new guy @ the time.

  • @PlayaSinNombre Is he the third one from the right and the third one from the left? Or is he the fourth one from the right and the second one from the left.

  • @jityr2 The lead singer is Tommy Shaw not Panozzo. Take it from a 45 year old who's seen them at least a dozen times ;).

  • Possibly Sty'x best song. What an epic ending

  • Back in the late 70's and early 80's, Styx was cool. Today, there is something just a little too commercial and gay about Styx .

Who's with me on this 1?

  • @EddieVanhangover yeah that happens to everyone and everything, literally.Look at pics of yourself from childhood.Your hair n cloths look goofy, what was cool ends up goofygay.

  • Shaw really sunk his teeth into this one. By far, one of his greatest works ever. I used to crank this one up in my moms Plymouth with the Kraco amp pushing 50 watts into my box speakers I had in her back seat.

  • This has to be my favorite song from Styx, it fits since I am a Blue Collar Man.

  • This was song one, side one from their best album!

  • Damn these guys were the shiznit. I saw the "Caught In The Act" tour in indianapolis and sat nine rows from the stage. AWESOME. I wish Dennis would get his head out of his ass and realize how great the band was!! TOUR, MAN!

  • @maxx0xxam he was kicked out, they wanted to go on with the tour, he didn't feel up to it, so they kicked him out

  • great song
