I've never been one to believe that Fedor "dodges" opponents like I've seen so many people say, but I do believe that you're only as good as the fighters that you've beaten. I agree about his lack of competition in Pride, but I DISAGREE about the MMA world saying he's the best P4P. That title is reserved for Anderson Silva. Anderson has consistently beaten the best in his weight class, as well as a former LH Champ in Forrest Griffin.

I think the #1 fighter in each weight class should ALWAYS be the champion. For that reason. THEY ARE THE BEST IN THEIR WEIGHT CLASS. So, in regards to your question, yes, he shouldn't be #1, but not because of the loss. And I don't agree with Sherdog's rankings either, considering they've got Chael Sonnen at #2.
