My family was on the extreme east of town, south of the QEW. We stayed as well. One thing I can pass along which was perhaps interesting, is that we snuck across the Etobicoke creek to get milk. All the bridges were manned by police, etc. Passage back into the city was not allowed. We felt like smugglers or perhaps resistance fighters. \take care
I saw this from my bedroom window, would make your skin crawl what I saw in the exact same location the night before ... I believe, lets say. The worst part is my uncle thought the cops were at the door for him during evacuation so he never answered the door and we never left .... wow

I lived not too far from there. I was sleeping at the time and when I heard the explosion I thought my Dad crashed the car into the garage(lol).
