Not sure about the staging (My favourite Broadway song and the "less is more" approach works for me. Also I think it's even more powerful if there is a hint of anger/frustration from Marvin that he has lost Whizzer) but the singing, particularly from your Marvin, is sublime. How did it go in the end?
Your actor's do an admirable job with the material. It's well sung, believable. There are subtleties in this piece that easily get missed, and every time I see parts of this show performed, I see/hear something new. Best of luck to you! I wish I could see the show.
Marvin should be surrounded by his remaining friends and family at the end of this song. It feels disjointed that they aren't there for him and vice versa. What did Trina just sing about a few moments earlier "Trying not to care about this man who Marvin loves..." - but she does care. It's kind of tragic that despite the transformation that the entire family makes in Act 2 of Falsettos, Marvin is left totally alone -- not at all what Bill Finn has in mind -- but that's just my opinion.
I totally would have paid for a cast recording of that show. You guys have great voices.

Well, just to let you know, they did come out to join Marvin, but after he was done singing and Mendal came out to sing the last part of the show.
