The game had a great engine - medium system requirments,beautiful graphics,vehicles,great scripts and AI,and lots of "options"(take a guy while he's sleeping,or having a piss,or blow a tanker near him... ).Too bad the story was not so great,and every intersection in game filled with trolling warriors.

If I wanted to get my game an engine,it would definitely be this one from Far Cry 2.

Procedure for playing Far Cry 2:

this is the 2nd time im playing the game and i gotta say its simply amazing. I understand some people that says the game is repetitive or even hard, all you need for this game is patience, if ur not patient ur not gonna like it.

one thing that really bothers me too is that u need to shoot like 10 times a shirtless guy to kill him, really annoying (although with some weapon upgrades and a little of practice u manage to get more headshots and insta kills).

Things that would make Far Cry 2 a much more fun game: -more wildlife (giraffes, lions, etc.) -mod tools -ability to climb mountains -play your music when driving vehicles -more vehicles (planes, tanks, etc.) -sandbox mode (no enemies/objectives; explore the terrain as much as you want) -infinite sprinting -season changes (summer, winter, autumn, spring) -moon phases -natural caves on land and underwater I hope Ubisoft returns to Africa when FC4 releases with these ideas in mind.

I just played it... This trailer is different than the PC game, I recall the quote "money is no good here, I wouldn't even wipe my ass with what you have" when the lieutenant told me about the diamonds.

And unless the console version is different, I still don't know who sent you in the first place to kill the Jackal.

Driving wasn't very exciting, the map LOOKED huge but it really wasn't since you could really only stick the road, and shooting somebody 15 times with an AK47 (that will probably break in a couple of seconds, the worlds most reliable weapon may I add) in the chest, just to kill them wasn't too much fun either.

Gets very tiring after a while...Most of the time, while raiding a camp, my vehicle would explode along with the others, leaving me walking. Which wasn't too much fun. But I did find that if you bump the difficulty to hard, it takes less shots to kill an enemy. Which also lessens the amount of bullets you can take before dying. We can only hope FarCry 3 will solve these and other issues. *,__,*

@Youngbling76 then its not a game for you :) thats exacly how it is. and thats why i love the game. the healing system looks more realistic than other games, i think the stealth is great, but they could reduce the amount of ppl attacking you all the time. but if large maps is a problem, stealth is a problem, and animals are the problem, i recommend you play mw2 online, there you find camping booster animals with cold blood :)

Stealth is great? not really, i bought the stealth camoflauge and when I hid in a bush, they still saw me, i took out a guy with a machete "stealthily" everybody rushed to my position, lmao! and screw mw2, FC2 sucked mostly everybody thinks that too, hopefully FC3 will be good.

Could somebody help me with Far Cry 2. I don't know why it is so laggy when graphics has been set to high or very high and my PC is pretty good for gaming.

I can help you. THis game is based on some nice new dlls of C++ Visual and .netFramework 4.0, so find those and instal them. Thats it. You need Visual C++ Redist 2010 and .netFramework 3.0 or 4.0. Plus you can update your Nvidia Physics.

Far Cry 2 demands alot of resources and the minimum specs for a game are often vastly underestimated. Medium settings are not bad, it still looks good. Otherwise try some obvious shit like defraggling and driver updates.
