Hey man, the black out means the game is local or your local game is playing away. By law nba cannot broadcast it in your area because it is shown on local channels. So, you cant watch your hometown team (most of the time), but every other game you can watch! thanks-hope this helps

This app is the us version but if you can download it in the Canadian app store i'm sure it will work.
