That's a great way to get better at "rhythm." 'Cos when you go to solo over the chords, if they aren't in the pocket, it's no fun!

strumming is something I try to practice then putting lead patterns over the chords either pentatonic sequences or major or blues.then come back to your strum pattern on the beat.
