i think that protests have a real meaning,a real purpose better,when they are peacefull,when they support their reasons.protests are fighting wars so they can't create wars(like in this film protesting people were making bombs for example). fighting against war while creating it is not only pointless but harder than war. so i believe that these protests lost their right,lost their truth with these warfull reactions.if they did want peace they should have shown peace!

I agree with Jude. You can't form protests or anything like that to stop a war. A war is much bigger than a protest and a protest can't change anything. Jude did take part someway in the war effort when he drew the strawberrys which represented the people who died. Lucy was wrong to stop the war. When Lucy saw the Strawberry logo, did she realise that she was wrong when she said that Jude's drawings were pointless before?

I disagree with you about Lucy being wrong about trying to stop the war. If something's happening that you believe is wrong, you have the right to try and stop it. Its improbable to succeed, but its better to try then just give up from the beginning. What if Martin Luther King thought that his speeches wouldn't do anything? Or that Susan B. Anthony thought that she'd never get the right to vote? I also think that when Lucy saw the strawberry poster she was sad because it reminded her of Jude.
