I think Tony Sopranos is one of the best characters ever created - very complex; however, the show definitely isn't at the top. The writing was solid, but contract disputes and a rather simplistic surrounding cast allowed a tremendous first season slowly deteriorate as the series progressed. Just my opinion. It isn't gospel so don't jump down my throat..

I've read many books where they don't reveal an ending and it is still satisfying.

The Sopranos ending didn't have that same feeling of closure that it deserved. It has been one of my favorite television shows since it aired ( and it never slowed down like most dramas ) and I think that the fans just expected more.

I'm happy that The Sopranos won, they deserve every award they get.
