The episode on Sunday November 20 could not be more stupid, PAN AMERICAN AIRWAYS was a very prestigious one, it is clear that whoever wrote this script was not aviation crew in his/her life.... leaving a dead passenger on ground and take an inmigrant instead ....
I took four Pan Am transatlantic flights and one transpacific,
between '66 and 69'.
Flying was a special experience then, now most of the time the only thing missing is the chicken in a cage and a goat in the aisle to make it like enduring a bus trip in Bolivia.
Just to chime into the argument theantichrist78 and lasbagman1 were having: I work at the airport as a Passenger Assistant (as a student job in the weekends) and even I have to say that passengers today can be extremely rude. I'm only 20 so I can't compare it to last decade but the number of times I've wanted to slap a passenger.. I can't even count that high.
That doesn't mean ALL of them are rude. And a lot of adults are extremely rude as well.
I was looking forward to this show but did not reach my expectations. The show is called PAN AM I don't care who is sleeping with who focus on the airline operations not the personal life of 3 flight attendants.

I'd been anticipating these show for a few months now. I genuinely liked it. It's smart, sexy and glamorous - the type of glamorous nostalgia sorely needed in today's miserable, uncertain world. However, the way network executives work these days, I have a feeling this one will be cancelled. They have a tendency to keep a lot of crap and ax the good shows.
@MrAvenger1975 I agree... I think we are living in much more glum and gloomy times than the 50s/60s etc. Our standard of living has gome up somewhat but culturally we've sunk into a depression. I often listen to Sinatra, Mel Torme etc and dream of living in those simpler times. Not that everything was perfect then - far from it - but at least there was something better to aspire to than to be Kim Kardashian/Paris Hilton. There was REAL glamour.
@SuGaRuSh14 You said it, man. I'd also like to make another comparison by saying that the people of this generation are kind of spoiled in the sense that it takes a whole lot more effort to entertain a person of today compared to a anyone from back then.
I mean, it's kind of like money... A dollar back then was like gold. If you drop it in a lake by accident, you'd see someone dive in to retrieve it. Today, it'd be like, "Man, it's -only- a dollar... Let's go home (and forget about it)." <_<
This show stands out because the women on this show actually look like women. They don't have tattoos, body and face piercings and are not wallowing in low self esteem.
So, people don't respect airline workers today? I do, It's better now, because the technology's better. Planes go faster, and you get to your destination faster.
The Aircraft that used in the 1960's took as long as today's aircraft that has not changed. The are louder and gas guzzlers today, but flight duration is the same. What has changed is inflight service, and the excitement of traveling to a foreign place. Airlines provided service and their employees were paid well and the customers behaved themselves.
Um, you know we have better technology now, right? That means our Airliners, use less gas, go faster and get passengers to their destinations faster. They are not louder, idiot. you do know that technology has improved A LOT in the last 50 years, right?
And, the passengers behave themselves today, too. I just think you're an old person who just does what an old person does. Lies, and claims their era when they were young was A LOT better than our era, now ... NOT!
First of all you are the idiot. I AM IN THE AIRLINE BUSINESS. I have seen the change in passengers within the last 10 years and foul mouthed obnoxious punks causing scenes do not board my flights. I have worked with A330, B747, DC-10, B737 aircraft. the flight duration has not changed and next time when you fly and open your mouth, do it to a TSA worker and get the pat down.
No, you're the idiot. All you old farts are nothing but biased. You always take the side of other old farts, even if they're wrong. That's just what you old farts do. And, you old farts always say foul mouthed punks, as if it's always young people that cause trouble. Most people that commit crimes are NOT teens, as you old geezers always say, they're full grown adults! Plus, there's no such thing as foul mouthed, it's called freedom of speech!
Another thing it makes no diffrence if you are a geezer or punk , you act up at check in or gate and scream and holler with foul language, you aint going in the boeing. simple as that.
There's no such thing as foul language. It's called freedom of speech. No one should be kicked off a plane or anything for expressing their rights ... NOBODY!!!!
No one should be kicked off anything anywhere for expressing their freedom of speech. In my opinion, there's no such thing as foul language because people have the right to express their what's on their minds...

how do you think passengers feel about the TSA as compared to you?
Gesicht2Gesicht 4 months ago
@Gesicht2Gesicht I wouldn't know because I don't work in America. I'm not American. I've never had any "experience" with the TSA's.
