    Greetings from new zealand

  • australians eat kangaroos

  • @Kikirimiau007 well why not there are over 6 million of them and their meat is a lot leaner than say beef chicken, fish or even pork.

  • beautiful country.

  • AIRBOURNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • proud to be Australian but i hate this anthem alot we need new anthems 1 day

  • @boredoflife227 listen to Song of Australia

  • What a crap flag!! Aussies can't grow up and let go of the british motherland, they have to keep the butcher's apron(union jack) on their flag, sad! At least the yanks had Washington and their own flag back in the day. Australia - Britain's permanent colony.

  • @zavi13 Hmm lets see you have friendlier relations to the UK than what we do, New Zealand, US and China are our major trade partners, we had our independence decades before you, so you know don't be starting a fight that you can't win ladeen

  • @zavi13 and it took a civil war for the US to achieve that. Maybe aussies have other priorities?

  • Wait a minute...I thought the Australian anthem was modeled on the British anthem God Save the Queen?

  • @nooyawkfun we used to have God Save the Queen as our anthem but this is about 120 years old but we've used it as our anthem since 1984

  • @irishgodfatherchris Thank you for enlightening me!

  • 2 titre pour vettel 0 pour webber 2 titre pour Alonso 1 pour Hamilton 1 pour Massa

  • yea get it of we need a real australia flag not half & half

  • Mark Webber Australia

  • GET THE FUCKIN BRITISH DIRTY THING OUT OUR FLAG!!!!!!!

  • @fengzi1989 no britain, no australia. face it, unschooled labourer.

  • @nelizmastr actually Australia would still exist but it would not be an majority English speaking country instead we would be speaking either French or Dutch.

  • @nelizmastr mate, you don know anything about aboriginals aye? lol, no britain no australia? i loled, apparently you should go repeat your special school mate.

  • @fengzi1989 dude, im foreign. and my country allows freedom of speech:

    FUCK YOU.

  • @nelizmastr you're Dutch you've lost all crediblity when you have an extreme right wing party as the third largest party in your parliament.

  • @irishgodfatherchris they aren't part of the parliament, they have a confidence and supply agreement with the other 2 parties.

  • @nelizmastr Parliament is where all of the elected members sit.

  • @irishgodfatherchris not here. here, the parliament is where the ruling parties sit.

  • @nelizmastr so the 24 seats in the Tweede Kamer held by the PVV are a figment of my imagination all of those people are elected members as are the other 126 representatives of other parties. The Parliament is collective name for both houses the Government is the ruling party or parties thats the same for everywhere.

  • @irishgodfatherchris first off: we have 75 seats in THIS particular parliament. 2nd: as said earlier: they have a confidence and supply agreement, meaning that they are just there to get the 75 required seats. they DONT rule the country. only CDA and VVD.

  • @nelizmastr thats the Senaat you're referring to. The ruling party/parties are not the Parliament they are the Government, Mark Rutte is only the Prime Minister because his party has a majority albeit only by one seat.

  • @irishgodfatherchris whatever. I dont know all the english words referring to politics. LoL.

  • @nelizmastr okay just to clear a few things up to avoid this happening again the Government is the party or parties that can form a majority in the lower house of Parliament. The Parliament is where all elected politicians (both Federal and Provincial) convene to debate laws and so forth

  • @irishgodfatherchris dude, im 17 and foreign, dont expect me to be able to explain everything. my vocabulary isnt that expanded yet.

  • @nelizmastr true but you do speak Dutch the closest related language to English aside from German

  • @nelizmastr oh yea! thats why you got shit english, u no dick no fuck u gay kient! lol

  • @fengzi1989 lol stfu troll.

  • @fengzi1989

Yes! and replace it with the aboriginal flag!

  • Many of the former British colonies have the Union Jack. Australia, New Zealand and even Hong Kong before it was returned to the China had the Union Jack on it's flag. The very first American flag had the Union Jack as well, then the stars replaced it.

  • @pantherablaze the state of Hawaii flag has the Union Jack on it

  • @AustralianAreRacists

    What a wanker!

  • Comment removed

  • great demogratie with nice people

  • Gefällt mir echt gut!

  • Isn't that the british flag?

  • @WhingingAussie

    NO, its the Australian Flag

  • @AustralianAreRacists Look mate, what is your fucking problem with Australia, on every Australian video your speading shit that isnt at all correct. Tell me what is your problem.

  • @LORDMCHUGH Actually only a very small percentage can track our origins back that far in this country because half of us are either first or second-generation

  • its funny how all the americans get confuse

'wait, britains flag on austrailias flag? but that must mean...AWWWSHI-"

  • @AustralianAreRacists ONE WORD

    Lawnmowers

  • Anybody who speaks anything wrong about Australia is a Fucking Bastard

  • @limli45 you are a fucking bastard.........

  • Long live Australia, From Britain

  • @CloneTrooperKieran and Ireland.

  • @noleyplatz yeah and Ireland

  • @AustralianAreRacists it's summer in Australia when its Christmas you idiot as well as South Africa, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Falkland Islands, Madagascar etc.

  • Greetings from Vienna...I love Australia

  • hey I am from frensh and I like very mush australia but anthem from australia is looking for americain :o

  • Cheers to our Australian mates from across the ditch. We love your anthem too!

  • The aboriginal flag pasted over the British flag..now then I'd truly be proud to be Australian.

  • Is that the hymne of Queensland?

  • its the National Anthem, no state or territory of Australia has their own anthem

  • im proud to be Australian!!!! :)

  • Australia has a beautiful flag and anthem.and I'm American. If I had to leave the USA I'd rather live in Canada or Australia then any ohter place. Just my opinion!

  • AUSTRALIA 4 EVER.

  • Prisoner land

  • ?? and u come from penis land

shut the fuck up u nit wit say that to an aussie up close and see what happens ur probably a ten yr old fat kid who drinks milk

  • Great anthem.. you aussies could use a new flag in my opinion, but I hope you (and my fellow Canadians) don't forget about our roots and become republics! The monarchy can not possibly oppress its people in any way, it is only representational... long live the brotherly Commonwealth nations, and long live the monarchy

  • couldnt disagree more about the flag mate. i could talk at length about what the australian flag means and what it represents...it is a beautifull thing, it tells you everything about our great nation.

On the other hand Canadas flag is a maple leaf, that represents nothing, that means nothing. and the background im guessing was just designed to look good. it hurts to see such a great nation have such a meaningless flag.

And it saddens me to say that.

  • the maple leaf is extremely representative of Canada's history... it was officially made the symbol of Canada in the 1850s I recall... and has been the unofficial symbol of Canada since about the 1700s.. there was another version proposed at the same time called the Pearson Penant which had the maple leaf with blue bars on either side to represent Canada's motto "A mari usque ad mare" (from sea to sea) but the red and white was a bolder statement, and more unique. hardly means nothing though

  • Yep and that's why in Canada, the crown's representives blow millions of dollars on god knows where.

There is nothing to be proud of being related to Britain. You folks dragged us in to WW1, WW2, the boer war and for What!

For your greedy ambitions... Canada will never let that happen again

  • Beautiful country, nice culture, nice people!!! One day i will go to visit it.

And who knows... have a sex with an Australian man. OMG It just for a joke rsrsrs...

  • agreed

  • - It represents our history as a nation.

Where do you think we came from mate?

Btw SOUTHERN CROSS ALL THE WAY!

  • yeah the southern cross is great, but u say the union jack represents were u came from? I don't see the usa, canada, south africa or even papua new guinea with it on their own flag..

  • Yeah i guess so....... it all falls down to what we want.... Who want's the union jack? who doesnt? thoughts?

  • True, Canada got rid of the Union Jack on our country's flag, but most of our provinces state their origin. Ontario/Manitoba/Newfoundland have the Union Jack, NB, PEI, BC, Alberta have references to England, Quebec has fleur-de-lis from France, Nova Scotia has Scottish coat of arms

  • @Sonicfury234 Well...it explains the accent.

  • It makes alot of bloody sense. It tells our story. It shows us having come from a great civilisation(Union Jack), federated (Federation Star) and our location in the world(Southern Cross). It demonstrates that we are and always will be part of a brother hood of nations (The Commonwealth) which in a proud history but now in a democratic spirit of self autonomy we revel in our glorious institiion of sensible parliamentary democracy

  • u wanna know why we have ur UK on ours is because we have part of the Commonwealth thingy thats why we have YOUR flag on ours.

  • LOL. actually it does. australia was founded by the brits and we're still a colony of hers til this day. so if you look up australia technically we're a constitutional monarchy which means we're still under sovereignty of the queen hence the union jack. crack open a history book once in a while man.

  • You're not a colony cause you have autonomy. You share a monarch, but not a government. The last time the UK had any say over what happens in Aussie parliament was in 1986.

And the Union Jack should be replaced the Commonwealth Flag. Long live the Commonwealth!

  • Australia is still considered a constituent of the UK. AKA They share the same monarchy.

  • ahh no we arent they cant interfer with our poltics, judiciary or anything else in anyway shape or form so in short the Queen is there for the sake of being there

  • new australian anthem: /watch?v=pBQDWs

  • safest country in the world...aussie pride for life! if u dnt like australia then fuck off

  • I hate cockroach

  • AUSTRALIA..... great country!!!!

    greetings from the UK

  • The flag shows Australia is a part of United Kingdom :) When will Australia become independent of UK?

  • "Asukapride"

Australia is independent of the UK, the queen is symbolicly our head of state, but has no real power in Australia. A little bit like the Emperor of Japan.

The Union Jack in the corner of the flag shows where our system of government came from. There are those in Australia who want to change the flag to reflect better who we are as a nation. The flag was designed 100years ago when we were still an outpost of the British Empire.

Australia is completly independent of the UK. :D

  • why the fuck are you here? you silly nip... my country is better than yours, thats why your people emigrate here.

id rather have a union jack for the sake of tradition than be a giant playstation factory under the protection of the USA

  • why do we have to emigrate there? :o I admit your ground is the best bitish colony ever though.....but at least I don`t want to do. Sorry T.T

  • why the fuck would you come on our video and start with the anti australian comments... fuckwit!

  • Could someone please explain the symbolism of your flag, specifically the arrangement and size of the white stars? And why is one star five-pointed while the rest have 7 points?

  • The stars represent the Southern Cross, the easiest constellation to identify in the southern hemisphere. The size of the stars is proportional to the intensity of their appearance in the night sky I.E The five pointer is smaller and dimmer than the other stars. The star on the left is Alpha Centauri, one of two stars referred to as "The Pointers". It is the closest star to our solar system, hence the size. It was the intended destination of the Robinson family in TV's Lost in Space

  • Thanks.

  • You're welcome.

  • He is right about the Southern Cross, but the 7 pointed star represents the five states of Australia (Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia) as well as the two mainland territories which are The Northern Territory and A.C.T (Australian Capital Territory), where the capital {Canberra} is.

The two territories were at the time of federation, administrated by the federal government.

Let me Know if you have any other Questions.

    All the Best

  • Canal de filipinas en idioma español.

  • Yanks, the black sheep of the bretherin.

  • Do you guys still wipe the Queen's ass, (metaphorically speaking) ?

We (americans) stopped 233 years ago. Anytime soon, I hope? Referendum? Amendments?

  • Your a yank,

Throw a shrip on the barbie for you mate{british accent]

  • @Steven2690 Mate is an Australian term, and you spelled you're wrong :p

  • Ignoring you typical American bullshit. Yeah K.Rudd is supporting the Republican movement.

  • Australia was founded by Brit convicts who massacred the native peoples. Very shocking history hahahaha.

  • what about you americans? It's the same with you, just that your forefathers werent convicts. They were from Great Britain too and had african slaves, while they killed the native americans...

so just shut up and think before you write bullshit

  • Actually, America was used as a penal colony before Australia.... Georgia was where most of them ended up. Interestingly enough, Georgia is not too far from Tennessee. But I don't expect Tennessee4444 knows his origins or his ancestry... lol.

  • Yeah, like North American natives were all hugged, kissed and loved, huh? Today's Aboriginals compared with today's native American Indians, you don't seem to have move on that far...

  • Same thing happened to the natives of your country too..

    cheers....

  • Hey from Canada!

  • Beautiful Hymn

Australia, the best nation in sports !

I'm a French fan of Australia, and of his rugby team

  • Australia is the land of british penal colony, and the people are descendants of convicts.

  • Is this intended as an insult? If so, its not very successful. Australians like to be able to trace an ancestor back to the arrival of the first fleet. I noticed you are from Germany. Care to comment on your country's legacy?

  • Australia WAS a prison country for a while.

  • balmainguy, Too right!!!!

What a surprise that he didn't respond to your question.

    And in response to SasukeHeavenCurse354

    who said

"Australia WAS a prison country for a while"

Didn't your people turn Poland into a "prison country" a few years ago?

  • lol.. Germany... yeah Australia is definatly a better place with a history of nicer people rather than the Germans

  • actually 1 and a half % of the poulation of austrlia descended from convicts

  • How is your mate adolf these days?

  • well how close did we come then...

    queensland voted 70% NO

Victoria will always win the NO vote

    How close notirishgodfatherchris

  • you wllbe walking the plank...jus face it...the place has been commondered...we are crown turf and it be staying that way.

  • When prince William is King you best take a walkabout.....off a long pier coz you jus jealous like a bitch.

  • I don't....

why do you support the Americanization of Australia.....

You don't kow what your getting into

No true Aussie wants a republic

  • do you have any idea how close the Republic referundum came to being accepted

  • do you have any idea that we are bretheren

  • yes but that still doesn't answer my question

  • It didn't stand a chance. Only one out of eight states and territories had a 50% plus yes vote. That was the A.C.T.

  • all you fags out there that have a go at the commonwealth coz its a bunch of rich fucks.....jus remember....its not the rich folk you have to worry about....repubicans are in it for nothing but MONEY with the support of ARABS and ASIANS for instances who are anti western and pulling down the flag will mean becoming more AustralASIAN...sellout traitors...DIE!

  • WHy u support a forigner over an aussie???

    Thats what i dont understand

  • we will win the vote.....don't worry guys...its not going to be a republic.

  • Love the flag, Fromtaxtoco, if you were to say that here, you would have your face re-arranged, and I would gladly love to do it. We are a great country so fuck you. Have you ever been here you moron?..This is what annoys the crap out of me, when people bag our country when they haven't even been here. Thanks for posting this on YouTube.. :-)

  • i reckon we should stay a commenwealth, just so we can kick everyones asses at the commenwealth games lol

  • fromtxtoca i find that higly affensive

  • lol? nutless wear pussies?

  • and you yanks should do what's normal, keep your nose out of other countries businesses

  • Historically, Australia was a penal colony of Britain.

Most Aussies are descendants of convicts.

There is no original culture or product.

  • Aborigines...

  • yeh when ever someone from a different country see the union jack on a flag they instantly think that england owns us

  • Im on the fence... I dont know what to do about a republic.. but I know that I would love to see a new australian flag. To represent Australia, not the UK's colonialism

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • Advance Australia fair

  • Gran pais.Excelente gente los australianos.Quizás el mejor sitio para vivir.

Great country. The Aussies are loyal and friendly and maybe the best place to live.

  • Where is Canada??

  • As a Canadian (in the same bullshit monarchist boat as you), I'm deeply disappointed in you Australians. Why? At least you had the chance of a referendum on the monarchy. And you BLEW IT. Thanks a lot. Your crap response to the grand republican question probably means that none of us will get the chance again for a very, very long time. Well done. Now lie in the bed you've made.

  • lol your so right, as an Aussies i want our country to have its own flag, own national anthem and have nothing to do with monarchy or england. ITS THE 21ST CENTURY PEOPLE!!! there is no such thing as royalists anymore!!! independence for Australia!! God bless our glorious southern cross

  • There are many cotes in canada, and canadians are loyal to the monarchy, you are in the minority.

  • Too true -- I am in the minority here. But I shall keep battering my fist on the table!

  • we voted no on the referendum because the model of republic that would've been adopted had a Parliamentary selected head of state instead of a directly elected President

  • How's going,mate!?

I want to ask the question about NZ culture.

I have been stayed one year in AU.So next,I think going to NZland not yet.

So,So,How do you AU people think about NZ National character?Almost same from you?

There is victoria bitter as well?,I stick to the beer. Aussie beer,,,Oh that was lovely.

Anyway, someone please tell me if you don't care.Thank you.

  • I love being australian

The greatest country in the world

  • No, Finland is the greatest country.

  • That's because they reject getting multiculturalised, unlike Sweden, and want their identity preserved. Good on them.

  • Australis del latín Terra Australis

  • fuck you

  • My dear contry, say that I'm stuck in Canada. For me there is no better place than Australia. I'm coming back in Australia in 3 years...

  • god save the queen

  • its 21st century, monarchy is not realistic anymore. glory to independence for Australia.

  • australia has inderpendance, and the monarchy is more sutable for the modern era than it was in the medievil era, they keep us safe and wealthy and powerful. as well as making millions of people feel proud. I have thousands of members on my website from canada, australia and other commonwealth realms which would give their lives up for the monarchy. it is realistic, and your views are not.

  • I wouldn't be so sure. Millions of Australians do not want the union jack flying on our flag, it's a sign of oppression and another country.

Once the queen passes away everything is going to change, you royalists are outnumbered. There is no such thing as royalty in humanity, we are all equal in gods eyes, the queen is no more important then a homeless person on the streets. The world monarchies are falling and fast. bad luck.

  • those millions of australians arent sure of what they want, they just saying that they want a republic cos somebody had brought it up. In truth britain doesnt have any ruling powers over australia. so australia isnt oppressed at all (whatever gave u that impression). Australia is just apart of the commonwealth of nations and with queen as the head of state...again she has no real direct power.

  • Then what of our flag representing England? our currency with the queens head? most Aussies do not want anything more to do with the English, we are a country of independence, union jacks belong in England, not Australia =)

  • britain doesnt have any power over australia, the reason why u got the queens head on ur money is because it's symbolic nothing more. plus the union flag on the aussie flag just means u have the same laws like britain has. So like I said australia is already independent.

  • Great anthem,great nation...from Spain
