Me too. Cowan's Darcy is intimidating, cold, strong, yet passionate, romantic and vulnerable (which I believe was very much a part of Austen's Darcy). =) Firth's and MacFayden's versions, in comparison, seem to lack Cowan's deep and well-rounded portrayal.

Matthew McFadyen I actually werent that keen on, his voice was too monotonal i guess, it kind of affected the performance for me but I loved this show so much i would watch the reruns until the next show aired -- ha because im cool lol -- I thought it would have been stupid, but i really enjoyed it and also to spikesbint who actuslly replys back to comments :D xx

It made me shed tears: though one already knows the happy end, their sadness at having to part is so palpable. You depicted with wonderful skill their love for eachother and displayed your love for them - which I share "with all my heart" (although I'm a fierce P&P-/ Lizzy+Darcy-fan for 35 years).

Yes I see it as a parallel universe rather than a fictional one, although I have been reading some were upset that Amanda and Darcy got together, but I look at it, if it was meant to be P&P exactly as the book, they would have just made another version of P&P, and that kiss seemed pretty satisfactory to me, I wouldn't say no! LOL
