Why even bother mentioning her mistakes in the video description. She is extremely talented and plays so well, especially for her age. Any mistakes are overshadowed by her excellent technique and musicality.
Wow! Intonation is not quite there yet. Get into the center of the tone. Perhaps you should save you talent for these difficult pieces to be played at an older age.
WOW! You play the piano too!?!?! I applaud you for doing both and both are equally amazing! GREAT JOB! Don't ever let condescending comments get to you! :) Keep up the excellent work!
If you visited her website "KidMusician", you will know that she is born in Florida, and her parents are both from Taiwan. So she is an American, or a Taiwanese American. However, I don't why we are talking about this in the video comment.
Oops, I removed comment from ellegin88 by accident. That's about her lack of vibrato. Just like the pinky, she's aware of the problems and still trying to correct them. Thanks you both.
That's very true, but it's actually very hard thing to do. Boxers can jump around in the ring to relax their muscles, but violinists can not do that. I wonder what kind of exercise can help that.
Painful patience, practice, determination. There really aren't any exercises... she's dang good though even with her mistakes. She doesn't need the vibratto. Yes it would sound good, but she sounds fine without it.
I watch myself in the mirror. It really helps with posture, bow hand, and violin arm. Ha ha, it helped me correct my "swan" arm.... or bow arm,, My teacher would tell me its ok to lift your arm a little when you play on the g string...
If your internet connection is very slow, you should wait for the video to finish loading then watch it. Another way is to go to her website to download the video and watch it later. Good luck!
I am sorry that I removed the original video and uploaded a new one after a week (view: 157 and five 5-stars). The reason is that the sound in the original video is somehow distorted. I was told that it could be a "feature" or "smart function" from my new camcorder. Anyway, I also got a better sound recording done separately and was finally able to use it to replace the video sound, so I decided to re-post it. I added the previous comments back; hope it's okay with all of you.

Very well done Gabrielle. How long did it take you to memorise the whole concerto ?
brian777999 3 years ago
She learned one movement at a time. It could take her a few days to a few weeks to memorize one movement depending on the piece of course.

A few notes are not perfect there, but I think you're incredible, no wonder the audience went crazy.
You probably know that, at the beginning, this violin concerto was rejected as being too difficult by the leading violinist in Russia, Leopold Auer.
