The money tree doesn't always grow, or give you bells for that matter, even if you plant it where an existing tree is, or plant 100,000 bells. I planted one after I chopped a fruit tree down, put 100,000 bells in and all I got was an ordinary tree. Maybe you need to chop your money tree down and replant it there.

How do yo get 99k?

@BiggestCodyFaneverr put the money in your bank account, save your game. Go to your systems setting and change the year to 2035 save it. Go back to Animal Crossing, then you will get a Bell Point Notice that says you have gotten 99,999 interest depending on the balance in your bank account. Change the date back to normal and keep advancing it to 2035 and you will get more bells that way.

@neogian101 Well its not all legit, the only way you can get a lightsaber is through hacking. And if your friend gave it to you, he had to hack to get it so either way it is partially hacked.

@ElizaaOzx The tree is not perminent and the money depends on how much you put,i think it only grows if you dig 90k-99k but i would recommend 90k cuz if you did 99k you would waste 9k cuz it grows 3 bags and all 3 is 30k which makes 90k.The tree grows money yeah,but its better if you just put it for show.Just make sure you trust your friends to not shake it because once you shake it,it does'nt grow back.
