I tried to listen to this cover of this great song but thanks to these two acting like idiots..I turned it off after the 2nd take. if you want to be respected and taken serious stop behaving like morons. especially when you are trying to cover classic tunes by legends.
Red Rhodes was one of the greatest steel guitarists. Michael did a nice live version of this on Austin City Limits in the mid to late 90's with Red Rhodes in the band.
Very good guys, one of my favorite hokey tunes, good guitar playing, first rate slide dude!
Really sounds good, one way to hit those high falsetto's is to try not to sing as lound as you normally do, get a lot closer to the mike (Easier than wearing tight ungerwear!
I was jazzed..fabbydoo! Nez is one of my faves, in fact I look like him a bit...LOL.Anywhoo..thanx guys,,keep up the good work and if u ever need a bass player,or a keybordist..dont look me up u live too far away.
I thought this was going to sound like crap and was surprised how good it sounds. In fact, this guy actually sounds a little better than Mike Nesmith to me. Nesmith sounds kind of rough if you ever listen to him.
Looks like A BARREL FULL OF MONKEES propped up in front of the steel guitar. Great cover. I thought the LIVE AT PALAIS version was great with Al Perkins. A little slower.
Sounds great guys! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad once you got rolling. The falsetto's a bitch, I know, especially on pond & love, and especially how he holds it

Thank you so much for doing this great song! You guys did an awesome job! Glad you left in the false starts too.
Do you play professionally? If you don't already, you should!!!
PS: If it's an original, that "cat" clock on the wall (behind Joe) is a collector's item.
