@militar3rd That's pretty normal for bikes. A Yamaha R6 (2008), wich is a street legal 600cc bike will do 0-140kph in 5.2 seconds, meaning that it still has 4.8 seconds left to fill those final 20kph (100mph = 160kph). So it's pretty much possible.

Even if you are caught, a good lawyer can make it look like it never happened, or at least the consequences. Also, a 300lb motorcycle poses almost no risk to others. A 4,000lb Crown Victoria can kill plenty of people though...

@1294patrick If a motorcycle hits a car at 120+mph, there's a big chance that people inside the car could be dead too. I have no idea why you'd think that everybody in the car would be alive. Actually, i know of a case where a motorcycle hit a van head on. Both were traveling about 60mph, that makes it about 120 mph collision. Motorcycle rider lived, van driver died. The rider flew right over the collision and slid across the ground. The van driver got a motorcycle shoved down his throat.

Anybody else notice the police are endangering WAY more people than the motorcyclists? I counted a few cases where the damn crown victoria was SHARING the lane with other cars! Hopefully their supervisor got to see this video to see them endangering the lives of innocents...

@NurEineStimme Because they're not risking much. In Illinois, there is a no chase policy period. Even if you are caught, a good lawyer can make it look like it never happened, or at least the consequences. Also, a 300lb motorcycle poses almost no risk to others. A 4,000lb Crown Victoria can kill plenty of people though...

Typical. Our hard earned tax money at work. An arrogant cop putting hundreds of citizens lives at risk to catch a bike. I guess it's more dangerous for a bike to speed through traffic than a crown vic.

That was kind of ridiculous but the cop turned his siren on before the biker ran I caught that part. Video should be called psychotic rookie cop chases biker. Fits better. Had to be a chopper in the area I couldn't make out what the radio was sayin but the guys not superman, or he spends his days pulling over every bike he sees.

That vic shuts off at 140 even with the Police Interceptor. Civy vics shut off at 115. Those bikes will do 140 in 3rd gear. No chance.

@wsvitak i dont think he pulled up next to him just to stop him... I think the cop just pulled up for the hell of it, and the guy takes off accessive speed, which is obviously against the law(that is what caused the chase) i believe.

@1294patrick If a motorcycle hits a car at 120+mph, there's a big chance that people inside the car could be dead too. I have no idea why you'd think that everybody in the car would be alive. Actually, i know of a case where a motorcycle hit a van head on. Both were traveling about 60mph, that makes it about 120 mph collision. Motorcycle rider lived, van driver died. The rider flew right over the collision and slid across the ground. The van driver got a motorcycle shoved down his throat.

@1294patrick Oh, and the collision was the van driver's fault though. Tried to pass a car and didn't see the motorcyclist. I'm not against motorcyclists, i'm a rider myself looking for a sport bike, i'm just against stupidity.

Yea im gonna say those are both 600cc bikes.....they could've gotten away...the trick is once you decide to run...run...and dont let up to slow down on the off ramps and look back....and dont ride past your normal comfort level...well maybe just a little...but dont think your fucking ghostrider or youll end up a squid...ive got a 2000 zx12r with muzzy and power commander...and i would have shaken my ass at him before nailing it just for humor :P
