  • Sounds remarkably similar to the Gypsy Major engines in the full scale aircraft which I've had the privilege to fly in twice . Well done .

  • Well, it has to be a year and a half since posting I was thinking of buying the same Moth, and I can finally say it's up and flying. Only 2 flights so far but seems to be a great flyer. Just like my old electric GWS Moth only on a larger scale and better sounding. I did replace the flying wire hardware and the rudder hardware as you said. ASP 1.20 power. I've posted some vids with more to come. Hope your Moth is still flying strong.

  • Very good Pete!! Nice editing. Hire a better camera person ;]

  • how loud is the engine?? like in db??

  • @harveymacdonald Hi Harvey, I'm not sure what it measures in Db, I don't have a meter. It's running the standard muffler and is quieter than many other 4 strokes that fly at my field. Sorry I can't help you more!

  • @PeterJBradbury dont worrie its fine :D realy nice model where did you get it from?? and i can get hold of a muffer wich reduces the noise a hell of alot!!

  • @harveymacdonald I got it from eBay Australia. Search there for Tiger Moth in Toys and Hobbies. Not sure if they're sold in the UK

  • Very nice aeroplane and nice flying. Good music too. Look forward to seeing more of your videos on YouTube

  • What is the wingspan? I'm about to pull the trigger and get the Nitroplanes 120 sized moth and an ASP 120. Should be a good setup as your moth looks about the same size (76" span)

  • Hi there, I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same model, so it should go well for you. Be aware that you'll probably need to upgrade the flying wires and pull-pull rudder wires - the ones supplied were way too flimsy and the crimps useless. Also, they have built this kit with dual ailerons - the original Tiger only has them on the bottom wing. I have disconnected the top ailerons and covered them and it flies beautifully and much more scale like now. Cheers, and all the best with your build, Peter

  • Looks very good. What ARTF is it?

Just needs at least one pilot :)

  • I agree about the pilot! I have one I just need to paint up and put in, along with some other tweaking to make it more scale (undercarriage, fuel tank, pull pull elevator, etc.)

It's a Chinese ARF I got on eBay from A1elite imports - just type Tiger Moth ARF in the search and you'll see one.

    Thanks for your comment.
