This company payed for the rights to these movies.

The adds help them make money, so if you buy the rights and put up adds tehn you can do the same. But if you just up load it you would be hurting this channles company, and costing them ALOT of money.

You guys apparently have never made AMV's before. Some companies DO put an ad on the video you made, even if it's just one single person with no ties to the entertainment industry.

I've had ads on videos I've made before, ads for the record company or movie etc, that was helping generate money for the company. I don't have a problem with companies putting ads up on my videos.

I just wish every company did that, it's free advertising for the video material, and free ads, and some people on youtube have lots of subscribers and make videos using a movie/ anime/ song. And this basically means (again) free advertising for the company. I've actually heard people say they've only bought certain movies or cds just because they heard or saw it in a video and it looked/ sounded cool.

So, I really fail to see how this, in any way, could possibly hurt the company.

Uploading clips from a movie, is similar, but I can see the reasoning behind that one, because then people might not buy the movie if they can just watch it for free. But wait, isn't that what Crackles doing right now? Only dedicated fans buy the Godzilla movies, everyone else will watch it here, effectively cutting sales in half or less. Also, firefox has a download helper you can use. Or hell, I can vixy. net this and have it on my computer for free. I also have the capacity to burn dvds.

It basically just boils down to companies being nitpicky about it. Youtube now has a growing library of licensed songs you can use in videos for free. So, I doubt it'll be long til every company does it. There's no reason not to, after all.

Also, in closing: I really don't think I bankrupted Toho by uploading Godzilla and Rodan fighting King Ghidorah on Planet X. They're still here aren't they?
