I´ve seen some of your vids and I like what I see. You can showcase games as one should and in a really good way. Recently I made a video myself but in my own little way, but I can´t ever compare myself to you. You have this drawing-power that people gets sucked into. It´s a good thing though since it makes ´em learn more about the games they want to try out. In short, what you do, makes gamers all around the world try more games worthy of being tried. played this game for roughly 6 months, got into one of the best guilds in EU and eventually disbanded due to the game itself being kinda horrid back then. I hope and wonder if its any good nowadays? :)

I really really want to get this game...but I've heard it isn't very active. And this is a social game. Without many active players, its not very playable. Sambo ill take your word for it since your still actively playing. Is there a lot of people on a lot. I understand that there's a ton of new games out there, and that might temporarily lower the numbers, but what do you think overall? This will be my first p2p mmorpg. Thanks. :D
@magmaroo it's a tough one, as there's no real cut and dried way of saying a game is 'busy or active'. the best measure is whether or not you're able to readily find others to play with when you feel like doing group content, i guess. if you're looking for a world that's bustling with players in the low level zones, then no MMO older than 1yr is going to give you that as most players have reached level cap =)
if you think about it there is know good or bad in mmorpgs because what you consider bad and good the opposite faction there might be some1 different who thinks they are good and goes the opposite faction from you thinking your side is bad =P
I usually play free games and then end up paying on those for the awesome items and equips, thing I hate about it though are the complete morons of the community, in your experience of P2P games would you say the community is a much better? also awesome vid as always keep up
@CodeExoticX thanks for the kind words! glad you're enjoying the series =) re your question, sadly in my experience i've found the same. i think when someone's not invested financially in a game they feel that they're able to take it less seriously, and therefore sometimes deliberately behave in a disruptive manner just to troll or try and get attention. it's not true of all F2P players of course, but more often than not i do find more 'trouble' in F2P games.
I see quite a bit of game with that type of interface set-up, it's nice and familiar to people who have played other games and I don't see a problem with it.
@awhiteknight1 hehe there's no 'best' race. it depends upon what your personal play preference is. if it's your 1st toon just go for the one you like the look of the most =)
@sambonz Once you hit Scarlet Gorge, regular races will be looking for a safe landing spot. Dwarves are like honeybadgers, they don't give a f*** and just jump. :P I leveled 2 dwarves to 50 before I switched factions, and I really miss it.
I also prefer female characters to male ones despite the fact that in real life i am male as, pixel or not, i would rather stare at the back of a female than a male.
take empire and rebels from star wars rebels figured they were good guys by trying to stop palpatine and palpatine was just trying to make a very very very long empire
@lostsagadragon i agree completely =) but back when this was filmed we were new to the game and by all accounts it sounded like there were clear 'light and dark' factions. we eventually discovered that wasn't quite the case as we got fed more lore :)
i wish mmos like wow and rift were like one time pay and play it sucks cause when im playing wow and my game time runs out i gotta wait bout 2 or 3 weeks before i can pay and renew my wow sunscripyion
It's really nice to have someone whose willing to get into the nitty gritty of the game, so many other reviewers just play for 15 minutes and never continue on, though i can't blame them in some cases, but this is nice
FK Just FK it . me and my friend bought this game and gess what we cant play it . its says we need to pay a monthly game card and Just fk it that we need to pay every moth to play on it why they just cant let us pay for the game we bought and let us play for ever
@Helponwar oh - yah Rift is indeed a game that requires a monthly subscription. i know this doesn't help much, but it always pays to read the box as it clearly states that the sub is required. sorry you got confused about it tho :S

I just found the channel and loving the Rift videos. I have separation anxiety while I'm at work and your videos keep me entertained with the game during those 8 hours.
Also, I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of time you spent with the game without even getting to the initial quest. I have 4 characters and haven't spent that much time in total on that. It was refreshing to see, and made me nostalgic for the time when it was all brand new to me. I now take the game for granted. Can't
i only have one complaint with this amazing video. teh defiant arent the styreotypical bad guys. both factions are trying to save the world from destruction, the biggest difference is that the guardians are carrying out the will of the gods while teh defiants are thinking for themselves.

@sambonz Hey sambonz im thinking of buying wow (World of Warcraft) but im not shure what to do! i want catacalysm so i know a store that sells a chest whit all classick burning crusade etc. to catacalysm so do i have to buy all expansions aswell as game card? @InsaneMagnus eep! i hope your hand recovers soon! re WoW - yup if you want Cataclysm content then you need to buy the WoW Battle Chest, plus Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm expansions. Don't worry about buying a gamecard though as your purchase of the Battle Chest will come with a free 30 days =)

@InsaneMagnus you can definitely download the entire game if you prefer (the launcher will do that for you). but obviously you'll still need to purchase keys for the game. it's actually far easier to do it all from the Blizzard store (online) in my opinion =)

@Make1tRa1n i played wow for about 5 years, I'm kinda bored of it now so i deleted it and like rift better, but that's just because i fully experienced wow.
@logileksen oh it's definitely not just you =) i've done that more than a few times across different MMOs. most notably on my toons in LotRO, which is the game i tend to get as close to RP'ing as any other. mainly because it's so very well set up for it tho =)
@MrDisgood you have to wait for YouTube to enable the feature on your channel. to get that you have to be uploading a fair amount and have a few followers. good luck! =)
@HardcoreDPS for me, it's because i find the male character models always sub-standard in MMO's, as if the developers put more effort into crafting the female ones. if i'm going to spend 1000's of hours on a toon, i prefer it not to look awkward and poorly-modeled, as most male one's do to my eyes. that, and i'd rather stare at the rear of a female than a male, but hey each to their own if you prefer it the other way around.. =)
omfg i so remember seing you when i first started i cant remember the server but i saw you standing at the ledge as i pressed forward. this is the games details was great but as soon as i hit lvl 28 i noticed no changes in armor crafted or quested so i sadly left the game.... the only thing that was different armor wise was blue items / epics :( i still have a <3 for it ppl just i dont like armor being the same all the way up to max lvl which it seemed to me cause i ran everywhere trust me.
@oathdragon my suggestion, if you're having technical issues, is to get thee to the official Rift forums and post on there. the community is extremely helpful and you'll get some sage advice =)
@J0EKIN the free trails of both are completely free - no purchase required! =) and the WoW client actually streams in, so you're not waiting very long til you can play, and your data usage is minimised as a result =)

@logileksen oh it's definitely not just you =) i've done that more than a few times across different MMOs. most notably on my toons in LotRO, which is the game i tend to get as close to RP'ing as any other. mainly because it's so very well set up for it tho =)

@HardcoreDPS for me, it's because i find the male character models always sub-standard in MMO's, as if the developers put more effort into crafting the female ones. if i'm going to spend 1000's of hours on a toon, i prefer it not to look awkward and poorly-modeled, as most male one's do to my eyes. that, and i'd rather stare at the rear of a female than a male, but hey each to their own if you prefer it the other way around.. =)

omfg i so remember seing you when i first started i cant remember the server but i saw you standing at the ledge as i pressed forward. this is the games details was great but as soon as i hit lvl 28 i noticed no changes in armor crafted or quested so i sadly left the game.... the only thing that was different armor wise was blue items / epics :( i still have a <3 for it ppl just i dont like armor being the same all the way up to max lvl which it seemed to me cause i ran everywhere trust me.
