All I did was try to see the play freezing the action throughout the sequence from : 0:37,0:38 and 0:39. I don't see a travel. There's a point between 0:38 and 0:39 where Kobe has the ball in both hands and he pump fakes; watch the right foot it looks like he lift it but he didn't he dragged the right foot a bit but that foot never left the floor. Then he jumped with both feet without lifting the right one (established pivot foot is the right foot).
Not a travel. Freeze it at 0:37 hi is still dribbling the ball, then at 0:38 ending the dribbling but the ball wasn't in both his hands. Still, at the end of 0:38 hi is holding the ball with both hands and his feet are down; at that point he can decide which foot is the pivot, he pump fakes between 0:38 and 0:39 and then jumped off both feet. He didn't jump off his left foot he jumped with both feet. The right foot was the pivot foot.
His left foot was his pivot when he had the ball in triple threat position..he drove in...stopped with his right leg as the pivot and moved his body across to have some open space still holding his right leg down..then he shot it..I don't see a travel..
that isn't a travel...you have to change your pivot when you make 2-steps to dunk..you don't jump off the same leg twice...you switch from left to right or right to left..so that was like kobe using his two steps from when he stopped..change directions by using his other leg and then hit the bank shot...
yeah he does travel at :37. his initial pivot foot is his left foot, cuz he moves his right foot slightly, then he changes his pivot foot to his right foot. only kobe or lebron could get away with something like that.
No dawg. Referees let players shift their pivot foot slightly all the time. Every player in the NBA does that and frankly if you removed it, the game would be boring. I erased my early post because of typos.
All I did was try to see the play freezing the action throughout the sequence from : 0:37,0:38 and 0:39. I don't see a travel. There's a point between 0:38 and 0:39 where Kobe has the ball in both hands and he pump fakes; watch the right foot it looks like he lift it but he didn't he dragged the right foot a bit but that foot never left the floor. Then he jumped with both feet without lifting the right one (established pivot foot is the right foot).

Not a travel. Freeze it at 0:37 hi is still dribbling the ball, then at 0:38 ending the dribbling but the ball wasn't in both his hands. Still, at the end of 0:38 hi is holding the ball with both hands and his feet are down; at that point he can decide which foot is the pivot, he pump fakes between 0:38 and 0:39 and then jumped off both feet. He didn't jump off his left foot he jumped with both feet. The right foot was the pivot foot.

His left foot was his pivot when he had the ball in triple threat position..he drove in...stopped with his right leg as the pivot and moved his body across to have some open space still holding his right leg down..then he shot it..I don't see a travel..

that isn't a travel...you have to change your pivot when you make 2-steps to dunk..you don't jump off the same leg twice...you switch from left to right or right to left..so that was like kobe using his two steps from when he stopped..change directions by using his other leg and then hit the bank shot...

yeah he does travel at :37. his initial pivot foot is his left foot, cuz he moves his right foot slightly, then he changes his pivot foot to his right foot. only kobe or lebron could get away with something like that.

No dawg. Referees let players shift their pivot foot slightly all the time. Every player in the NBA does that and frankly if you removed it, the game would be boring. Now if you want to call out traveling you better look at Lebron's 4-step Crabble walk dribble dribble. The referees are blind on that.

Its because Duncan rebounded a lakers miss then proceeded to pass to Parker in which Kobe intercepted. Not an inbounds play.
