I can't believe they went that long. When we did it in boot camp I had a good time laughing in the back row until it was my turn. LMAO I thought I was gonna either collapse because I couldn't breath, or burst a lung. I'll never forget the confidence chamber. BTW I was right next to the tear gas burner when it was lit, so I got the fully effect, also the females always seem to handle it better than the males, it don't know how.

@SoCalRyder7 i don't know what they're using here, but it should be CS gas which is a weaker form of tear gas. at least they're in smaller groups, in boot you have to do it with your entire division and you want to be in the front row. if your in the back it sucks, i got stuck in the back and their were five rows in my division. so since they throw a new tablet on for every row i got 5 times the amount of gas. it was so bad i could barely say what i had to say to get through, lol.

@123nypd1 there really isnt any passing or failing... that being said theres different parts and every ones test is different just take some of the practice tests on the navy web site thats what i did it gives u some what of an idea

i graduated 2 weeks ago.....its tear gas...they make you stand in line, as the gas enters they say "mask up cups up"..you take your mask off hold it in the air and put your hand under your mouth to catch the snot, i was last in line but i fucked up because i broke the seal on my mask for laughing at the other peoples reaction when the took their mask off, so i was breathing gas even with my mask off.it feels like someone took tobasco sauce and poured it in your eyes, nose and mouth. its not bad

@iljsmart1 don't worry, bootcamp gaschamber is easy, you are not in there nearly as long. in fact you start off with your mask on and they go down the line asking your name and social. these guys are out of boot and in A school so it is a bit tougher

LOL, I remember when I was still in BECC our instructors told us ALL Firemen had to go through the gas chamber again, we were scared like crazy! When we had to go to the DC Schoolhouse in MOD 6 everyone wondered "Is this going to be the day!?" Haha!

Good old A School, I kinda miss that place, especially the MR School, great people! Hated going back to the barracks - USS PREBLE! Probably the worst 4 months of my life! LOL! Good times...

This may have been bad.. but when I went through this training in Orlando in 1976.. they had us in a SMALL ships type compartment.. Steel.. HOT.. and they dropped a CS grenade in the middle of the room.. had to recite our general orders without a mask.. THEN they let us out..

I was a DC lmao I went through in 2006 with DCC clark...all the DC's were on the "fun team" i wasn't doing that bad till DCC clark saw me and stopped the fan on me and dropped 3 tablets...after that I thought I was going to die lmfao

I was a HT and was TAD to the fleet training center Norfolk in 82(actually in portsmouth i think) and had to take trainees into gas chamber ever third day ( the other two days was delta/alpha fires and then delta fires) and we didnt wear masks, the trainees did and then we made them remove mask, clear it and see that it was possible. but us instructors didnt wear masks at all ! we aclimated to it ! LOL
