I love how much tension there is between gwack and janto shippers. Still, let's look at this rationally: Gwen already has a boyfriend/fiancé/husband/lover­, and she's the kind of person who wouldn't even consider cheating. gwack was the relationship that never was so i'm confused why people are fans of it. gwen and jack NEVER got together they never even kissed. (that time when gwen thought it was jack but it was an alien doesn't count) At least janto actually had some type of sexual relationship. yeah jack and gwen had sexual tension but so did jack and everybody else. i'm surprised there wasn't constant orgies going on in torchwood.

I think the writers / JB have said that Jack/Gwen is a 'slow burn'. It may be that they'll always leave it like that: an unfulfilled sexual/romantic tension thing.

I for one haven't got a problem with the Gwackers, as long as they don't deny Jack/Ianto as a couple. I've seen it countless times before, the "Jack uses Ianto for sex" fan-theory, and it's just wrong on so many levels and makes Jack a bastard, imo. Sorry Mirien, I can't remember! It was an interview. JB said that Jack/Gwen was meant (by RTD?) to be a slow burn to keep the viewers waiting and hoping and would explode much later.

Jack was gutted by Gwen's engagement and later, in Meat, he's really hurt seeing her with Rhys. Yes he's a jerk IF he's using Ianto but no one's saying they're in love. Ok, lots of people on HERE say that but maybe Jack is rebound FOR IANTO post Lisa. People DO have sex without love, and certainly Jack does.
