Great album, the reason people in the 90s were like "wtf?" is because the sound was radically different from Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, especially BSSM.

@Hedegaardo Dave Navarro kept the fuck Frusciante and Slovak were known for, but he added a heavier rock sound that they couldn't. The band was going through a tough time when the album was being made, and Navarro helped them make a great album, better than most of their albums. In my opinion

Blood Sugar Sex Magik and One Hot Minute are both amazing albums. I personally think the former is greater, but I disagree with anyone who thinks Dave Navarro didn't prove his capability as a member of the band. Hell, this song shows that he fit in perfectly.

@bronxbombers222 He didn't fit in perfectly. He just showed he could play funky stuff. He didn't fit the rest of RHCP's music, but he brought his own style to the band and I personally am a fan of it. One Hot Minute is my favorite RHCP album.

I loved this album, it was really good. People hated it because it wasn't frucsiante and didn't give it a proper chance. I love johns playing on mothers milk and blood sugar, but he started getting really sloppy after that. But don't take that the wrong way.

@FruscianteLennon311 johns my favourite guitarist but you gotta give ohm a chance. i didnt think it was that good till i listened to the songs a number of times. this songs amazing, falling into grace, tearjerker, shallow be thy game... its the chili peppers with a shift in style. dave doesnt usually play like this in janes addiction, he plays really good funk in this song.

Yes indeed...a great song. One of my favorites as well. One Hot Minute is a great album..as is almost all of theirs (in my opinion). Flea and Chad have always been, and always will be the back bone of this band

that's bullshit :S .. RHCP wouldn't be RHCP without Anthony Kiedis, his style is so special and like nobody elses style... And they wouldn't be that sucessfull if Frusciante didn't join and rejoined them again.. Navarro just didn't fit into the band.. Same thing before Hillel died, when Hillel left the band first time it just didn't make out, then he joined them again and great stuff happened.. Hillel and Frusciante are the only two guitarists that will ever fit RHCP . In my opinion
