He deployed in a way that his troops would be denied manouvrability. The opponent didnt have a deployment fit for defense, or atack for that matter.

I can't install rome total war anymore because everytime I try to , the pc says that there is an earlier version of rtw is installed, nd that I should uninstall that first , but I have nothing on the pc that has anything to do with rtw !

Maybe your just angry cause prince beat Ur ass so bad your computer broke and the reason he loses in ETW sometimes is cause ETW is much different than RTW with ETW focusing on guns and RTW focusing on swords... Hey how did you switch your javelin cavalry to weild swords rather than javelins?

@TalonMercenary select unit, press and hold alt and the javalin mouse icon will become a sword icon and you can go as normal (i.e. right-click enemy unit)

if it's not alt it's control (crtl) (haven't played rome in a while).

@MichaelBlue1990 Yes, but Macedon's Royal Pikemen are far superior to the silver shields. And seeing as most battles are decided by the infantry melee, Macedon often has the edge.

I hate how in medeival II and on early in empire total war, Pikemen dont stab like in rome? I mean they have these long pikes that could impale people, yet they just stand there, and when they get into melee that take out swords? ?????

the main connundrum is the Numidian Legionares. no idea how good they actually are, and whether they're even worthy infantry.

as for PoM, he adapted himself to the desert, hence didnt rely on his cumbersome Companions that woulda gotten tired very quickly in the desert, instead he used his light Militia Cavalry which was much more fitting. also he knew that his Silver Shields could hold off anything the Numidian player could throw at him unless it was a flanking attack, which he prepared for.

ServerMaster42, it was funny that you used Numidia but insisted on not using its main strength: javelins. both the Numidian Cavalry and Numidian Skirmishers are Numidia's best troops, yet you had none of them. this already is too big of an advantage to give to PoM(although you obviously didnt know it was him :P). also the Onager was a huge waste which caused your army to be even smaller than it should have been.
