How is this intermediate? Seriously, I cant get this chord right! high e is either not ringing out properly, or the 2nd string is muted cause of my 3rd finger arargghh
Hey there! Can you do a video on some Angus Young (AC/DC) tricks? He's my fav guitar player of all times. And also as a song suggestion could you do "Fear of the dark" by Iron Maiden? I love the intro to that song!
fantastic lesson, have took soo much from this. Will be able to add so much more colour to my lead rhythm. Instead of the usual following my rhythm guitarist with some embellishments I will be add different fills and variety.
Dude, you are not only a good guitarist but you are a great teacher. You make your lessons incredibly clear and easy to understand. Good job man thanks for sharing with us.
My hands were made for blues.. cos I sure wasn't born with those extra long pinky fingers like you, Vai, Hendrix, EJ, BucketHead, etc etc etc... sigh.. My pinky is barely just over half the length of my ring finger. :(
Thank you verymuch for sharing your videos. As a huge hendrix fan i really enjoyed this video ,i will continue watching all of them thanks alot man we need more people like you :)
I went through a whole day just sitting there figuring that kind of stuff out and here it was on youtube all along. I learned a very different technique than that but that looks so much easier. thanks.
Hi! Great video, this lesson really made sense how to play all those melodic "thumb chords." I was just wondering what DiMarzios are you using on your Strat?
@TRCOES Hey, when I shot this video I had a Dimarzio Fast Track 2, Pro Track and Chopper in my Eric Johnson strat. I have recently put the original single coils back in it though. I just can't make up my mind. LOL Thanks for watching!! Carl..
great lesson, but when you are explaining the first part about the d chord and you slide down and play it with out the d root, what scale are you playing with the d chord with the F# root. Is it the D minor scale or what for your embelishments? Thanks
@1Batt LOL, thanks for checking it out!! I am very glad you found it useful. Hopefully you will enjoy some of my other lessons as well. Hope to hear from you soon!! Carl..
I give beg/int lessons, and if you don't mind, I'll incorporate some of your excellent teaching techniques in my lessons.
I'll try to sign up with you main lessons soon too help support the cause. You use just the right amount of patience and time to explain the style and lessons

That's much easier, so right in the beginning play the thing you're going to teach (full) then break apart in teaching which strings, which chords etc etc ;)
Hey BerkayBB, thx for watching. Just wanted to let you know that this video was really just about his chord style and not about the Little Wing intro per se. The Pt.2 of this lesson is where I teach the Little Wing intro using these techniques, and yes I do start the video with a full performance of the intro. :) Carl...
Sir you should put this as a video response to someone already "established" in the related section....just sandercore...would be a good start as he did a similar little wing lesson.... ;)
