  • Very down to earth. Color selection demythologized. It's as if you were trying to say, "Just do it! And DON"T be afraid!"

  • dick blick sells pebeo fragonard oil paints....and they also sell tube wringers!

  • I find that I can mix any color I need with just phthalo blue, cadmium red light hue, napthol crimson, cadmium yellow light hue, yellow ochre, and titanium white. Everyone has the right to use the pallet of their choosing, but this is way too excessive for me. All the colors for that pallet collectively costs a few hundred dollars-at least!

  • =O. That's is all I have to say about that.

  • Very Very good information. Thanks much.

  • May I recommend a paint tube wringer...you'll get more out of each tube and save tons of money!

  • Thank you for sharing Karin.

That´s what I want to be ..a real everyday painter.

  • vermillion red combined with naples yellow and zinc white. Perfect for skin tones. Rembrandt used those colours

  • OMGX) She's funny!

  • That seems too many colors for me. Maybe I'll give such a large palette a try some time. I am really experimental and will try almost anything a dozen times. Except drugs or anything that requires me to give up control of my minds. I love it and thank God for it.

  • hey, your pallet is missing a very important color...... where is acra violet?

acra violet mixed with thelo blue makes for the most beautiful, sparkling black.

  • Holy crap that is a lot of colour!

  • you just showed me that I know absolutely nothing about colors. that was so cool! more more more! i think you have a great attitude. please keep making videos. thank you.

  • Hi Karin,

Wow! I throw away more paint than you have on your palette... Amazes me how different we all are when it comes to painting! Thanks for this.

  • Wow I can't believe all the colors you use! Please post a video of you painting a portrait or figure, I'd love to see what colors you use...I struggle with making flesh tones look realistic.God bless!

  • haha, your tubes look like mine, and I thought I was embarrassingly messy in painting. Which is why - lately - I really like computer generated colors, no mess, no fuss, no money to pay. Thanks! Happy New Year! Trudy

  • Really interesting! I love seeing people's colour palettes.
