  • 10 Ton truck? Looked like a F350- Doesn't weigh 20K pounds?

  • yeah and its such a convenient shape for me to carry around.

perfect for me because i love putting random objects in the oven and dropping them into water. running things over with my car is also a important past time in my family.

    sign me up.

  • @cmanclan101 looks like it fits perfectly in the natural pocket.

  • I want one:O

  • write/read speeds shown tested were 26 and 35, so this somehow confirms 30 and 40MB/s? :p

You could say up to 10GB/s if desired!

  • so much better with the 1911 filter on it

  • but does it have a golden voice

  • LOVE HOW YOU HAVE TO PUT THE LAPTOP ON THE SIDE OF THE DESK SO THE STUPID CAP DOES NOT MAKE IT BEND LMFAO!!!

  • Just use online backup you does not need to do such silly thing.. LOL

  • 10 tons? My arse!

Potentially effective ad ruined by obvious lie.

  • @gregwithnail It can survive because the tire conforms around it; to the tire it's just like a rock and the other tires take up much of the weight. If the had a 10 ton crusher and threw it in it would be destroyed. The key itself can probably take about 1-2 ton max and then be screwed. On a side note unless it was being run by a 250+ horsepower engine and had diamond cutters I don't think the blender will blend it.

  • 10 tonne truck? How gullible do they think people are?

  • I bet that Julian Assange would buy it!

  • out of my nearly 20 years of living iv never cam close doing this kind of stuff to my usb stick. Its for sale for around £62 and id rather buy a 128gb usb stick for that price.

  • that wasnt a 10 tonne truck

  • wow 64gb

  • It's pretty good but I don't think I'll be dropping it, boiling it, freezing it or even waiting for a 10-ton truck to run it over, I'm not a bloody fugitive holding government data but if I ever become one, I'll be sure to buy it.

  • or i could buy a cheap one, which when it breaks can be replaced within the price of one of these. because nobody has anything stored solely on a memory stick.... you can just copy the data back on to a new one

  • This is what I wanted, but before I buy.

My question would be, how can they prevent the transferring of heat (under one of the extreme condition) from the exterior ot the internal electrical component? Since the USB is pretty much made of metal? Wouldn't the heat damage the inside?

Also, I've read reviews re the accumulation of heat during & after usage??

  • @hxuanjie After a while the drive itself will just die from 20-30 min in the that heat but since it is flash memory maybe; the small pocket of air around it acts as an insulator; basically these tests mean that if the person that is using it is accident prone cough an idiot cough cough he or she won't lose data if the they drop it in a frying pan. I will give it an estimated rating of 100-150 Gs after that I don't know.

  • Looks like lipstick. Either that or something that will definitely get security guards interested

  • What a terible video, for a company as Lacie.

I think that the receptionist has tested her new handycam.

But i'm impressed of the product.

  • Knowing macfags, they would only buy it because it has a brushed-aluminum look.

  • nerdgasms

  • chuck norris just found an enemy

  • 3/4 ton truck .... resistant.

  • Wow that flash drive survived being plugged into a MAC, now that is one durable piece of hardware!!!!

  • macs have usb ports now?

  • @polaris911 macs were amongst the first PC's to have USB.

  • wow- because all of that is completely necessary

  • @releveee Yeah I was thinking about that too. i mean, "OH I'M BEING RUN OVER BY A 10 TON TRUCK! Oh, well I'm dead but atleast my usb drive still works!"

"OH GOD SOMEONE JUST LIT ME ON FIRE AND RAN AWAY! OH GOD I NOW HAVE THIRD DEGREE BURNS ON 50% OF MY BODY! Oh look, I still have my thumb drive! BUT MY THUMB HAS GONE MISSING!"

  • How to make an USB omelette...

  • yeah... i keep my usb in my pocket...

  • @eztevan99 no... do that with a generic one and put in 200ºC to see what happens

  • thats not that specially its only a case thats doing all the work, do all that again with out the case and have it still working then id be impressed

  • I'm pre-ordering one for my trip to Canada. We'll see if its Orca proof.

  • The only way to destroy: plug it in a mac.

  • @deltalabmodhl2 Engadget plugged it into a Mac and it worked just fine! :P

  • Hahaha this is just ridiculous. :D I hope you didn't waste too much money developing it!

  • lol will it blend?

    BEST COMMENT

  • water proof? :S

  • I'll be convinced when Chuck Norris can't even break it.

  • Corsair Survivor is much better :)

  • Best USB Flash of the world!

  • Just in case of my usb key will accidentaly falls into frying pan

  • pretty sure you could do all this shit with a regular usb

  • @Cssfiend

Why don't you just try it with yours and let us know how it works out?

  • show us this in real time please

  • Wow, so now they make usb's fire and ice and water resistant... because... people seem to accidentally fry, bake, freeze, and crush their usb?

Wait, why on earth would they make this?

  • an f250 is not 20000 lbs bro

  • @halomademepoor

unless the back is full to the brim with lead.

  • I call for a .50 cal sniper shot on this key.

  • I liked it, right untill i saw the apple products =)

  • I bet it won't last more than 6 months under normal use.

  • I bet it cant withstand being plugged into a Vista machine!

  • nowdays, nobody believes an ad.

  • Yeah because I'm going fry, bake, and freeze my USB..

  • WANT!

  • Lacie products are crap. I have had so many important files lost forever thanks to them. Out of 5 drives 3 have failed. The only thing that destroys a LaCie is time and normal use.

  • @matthewjacob thank you for saying that =] i was about to buy one.

  • Nice sound effects :p

  • kill it with fire!!!!

  • What happens if you bang into the side of it while it's plugged into the PC?

  • its very stupid

  • nuclear proof flash drive?

  • what kind of dude would carry around a dildo looking usb drive?

  • @akui88 one that is secure about his sexuality.

  • nice

  • and also can be used as a dildo ....

  • made from 100% real chuck norris

  • so what?

  • probably just 304 stainless steel case

it's a bit of overkill for just a usb

  • but what if you lost the cap?

    what then

  • how much does it cost ?

  • 0:26

Looks suspiciously like a man rolling a joint.

  • Will it blend?

  • @LynnSuemitsu Possibly the best question ever for this.

  • @LynnSuemitsu the ultimate test for the sign of the apocalypse

  • @LynnSuemitsu Damn! I came here just to make the same joke!!! Thumbs up! Hahahah

  • @LynnSuemitsu that is the question

  • @LynnSuemitsu I was about to ask the same thing. "USB smoke. Don't breathe this!"

  • @LynnSuemitsu

    Jajaja me gustaria verlo :;D

  • @LynnSuemitsu Jajaja me gustaria ver eso :D

  • @LynnSuemitsu Thats the Question!

  • I want to see Bear Grylls incorporate this into his Man vs. Wild show to see how extreme it really is! Nice, LaCie!

  • @DJJazzy007 bear vanilla grylls...
